Gulf Coast Heat Fastpitch 14U battled through a ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐—ฒ, ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฒ-๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—บ ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป in Clermont this weekend, finishing 1โ€“3. While the record wasn't what we wanted, the girls still competed hard, with each game finishing tight in scores. ๐Ÿ‘Š

Offensively, we just couldn't quite capitalize when we needed to. Time and again, we put runners on base, only to leave 2 (and sometimes 3) Heat players stranded, which hurts in the moment, but is part of the game.

She tried sub-running for teammates, but ultimately, it was decided she needed to sit out. And while that meant she didn't have a , she did show what being a true teammate looks like. Marlee stayed for the remainder of Day 1, then showed up bright and early Sunday morning -- dressed out and ready to cheer her team on from the dugout. Gulf Coast Heat brought home NEW BLING after finishing 2nd Place at the Shocker Park Meltdown Classic over the weekend! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸฅŽ

In a field of 12 teams, our girls battled, hustled, and worked their tails off on Saturday to position themselves for another deep tournament run. Then Mother Nature decided she had other plans. ๐ŸŒง๏ธโ›ˆ๏ธ

Sunday's weather may have brought the tournament to an early end, but the work our girls put in on Saturday had already spoken loud enough! ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸฅŽ Their hustle, determination, and never-quit mentality earned them their second 2nd Place finish in just two tournaments this season! ๐Ÿฅˆ๐Ÿฅˆ
