Parents and community,

Every season comes with a few bumps, but what defines us is how we respond. And this year, you responded with support, patience, and commitment.

Thank you for showing up, for encouraging these athletes, and for standing behind this league. The energy in the gym, the pride in our teams, and the growth we saw from the first week to the championship games speaks for itself.

This community continues to prove that it cares about its kids. That is the foundation that makes everything else possible.

As we look ahead, we are hopeful and excited about what next season can become. We will take what we learned, make improvements where needed, and continue raising the standard. The goal is simple. Give these kids an even better experience next year.

We appreciate you. Let’s keep building and come back stronger.

It’s almost that time! We hope to see you all there.

Plus, some individuals in the community will be getting special gifts! Is it you?! 👀

Championship Weekend is here!

Come celebrate these athletes and the hard work they’ve put in all season.

Make sure you catch the first Senior Boys and Girls tournament games in the competition gym following the ceremony. You can also head over to the Girls gym to watch their first two tournament games, or stop by the Intermediate gym and check out the little ones battling it out.

It’s going to be a great day of basketball. Come out and support them!

Due to a clerical error in the scorebooks, we had to make one adjustment to the Junior Boys first round bracket.

The mistake was related to how a score was recorded, and once it was caught by one of the coaches, we were able to adjust it.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we work to keep things fair and organized for our players.

See y’all this evening at 5:30! (Competition Gym)

Community,

Due to a team dropping out and some coaches not being able to be flexible, the tournament brackets may have to change. Our VP is working on adjustments now to make sure everything is handled the right way and as fairly as possible.

We will post the updated brackets as soon as they are finalized. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this. Our goal is, and always has been, to give these kids the best experience possible.

Thank you for your continued support.

🚨End of Season Tournament Weekend🚨

At Cuero Little Dribblers, end of season tournaments have always been a meaningful and expected part of our program. This is not something that was added suddenly. For many years, the final weekend of the season has been set aside for tournament play in our Junior and Senior divisions. It is part of how our players finish their season, compete with their teams, and celebrate all the work they have put in.

Before the season began, our secretary provided the full CLD schedule to Little League Baseball so there would be clear communication and the opportunity to plan ahead. We have also had conversations in hopes of helping reduce conflicts for families who participate in both. We understand that this time of year brings overlapping activities, and we genuinely empathize with the challenges that creates for families.

Our heart in this is simple. We want the kids to have the opportunity to finish their basketball season. These tournaments are important to them. They have practiced, played, and grown together, and this weekend is part of that journey. We would hate for teams to miss out or for games to be canceled when this is something the players have looked forward to.

Many of our own board members and families are also involved in baseball and are making the same adjustments to ensure their players can finish the basketball season.

We appreciate your understanding, your support, and everything you do for your kids and this community. Thank you for being part of CLD and helping us honor a tradition that means so much to our players.

Let’s finish strong together. 🏀
