This is a picture of my niece, Chaundra, who I raised from the age of 10 days old-12 years old. This is a picture of her when she was about to enter K-1st grade. I placed a picture of her on National Batman Day, since she saw the 1989 Batman movie with me, (on video years later) and contributed a picture from the opening scene of that film for my first Batman book, “My Batman (And Maybe Yours Too)” Plus, she just looks so cute at that age!

Just to remind everyone that my new Batman book, “Batman Dailies,” debuts at the Mentor, Barnes and Noble this Saturday, September 19th, 2026 where I will be from Noon-4pm. This is the picture your eyes will focus on when they come in my front door. They turn to the right and there is a couple of bookcases. The legal hutch has a bunch of cool stuff atop it, like an Avengers plastic box showcasing its heroes, a Batman and Robin figure standing guard, (although Robin looks like he is about to dance a jig) an original painting of my “MK4” novel, a couple of box sets of Justice League figures, a side-shot of an original painting from my first sherlock Holmes novel and much more. A very colorful thing to see once you step into my house that I love to look at when I get home!

I always keep a pen with me to write down stuff, since I’m always getting ideas. These are my two favorite pens, because they are both 0.38 pens. That way I can write small, the way I do, and still fit a lot of stuff on the paper. In fact, I keep a lot of straw wrappers on my person or in my man-bag to write notes to myself. And with these fine points, I hope to someday write the Gettysburg Address on the head of a pin! Only kidding! But something like that to tell the truth.

Today, I’m going to remind everyone that my new Batman book (Batman Dailies) is debuting this week, both this Saturday, Sept. 12th, 2026, at the Kirtland Library on Rt. 306 in Kirtland from 10am to 12 pm and on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at Barnes & Noble (Mentor) 12 pm to 4 pm, for Batman Day!. Yesterday was Labor Day, I hope everyone had a great day and rested. I certainly did, taking a brief respite from all of my writing! But today I’m making up for it as I take Liz to her eye surgery and then race over to have myself tested for my every 3-month A1C diabetes test…Whoopee!

Bystander September Bits!

👏 Rob Sirn, one of our long-time artists for our Bystander Adventure books, has just won an award for designing and drawing (which has been turned into a t-shirt) for a charity program for mental health!

👏 Bystander Group LLC has just had a new book published in time for two upcoming book signings for author, Chris Lambert. It is the fifth and last book in the Batman series that Lambert has written. This one is on the subject of the daily comic strips that the Caped Crusader has appeared in over the decades. It is called, “Batman Dailies.”
The book will debut within the week as Chris has two upcoming book signings in the Lake County, Ohio area.
🗓️Saturday-September 12th, 2026 from 10am until 12 noon at the Kirtland Public Library, Ohio
🗓️Saturday -September 19th, from 12pm until 4pm at the Barnes and Noble Mentor, Ohio, right outside the Great Lakes Mall for National Batman Day! Chris will bring some of his Batman knick-knacks from when he was a kid for you to see along with coloring pages for the kiddos!
Chris will be selling and signing copies of his new book and talking pop culture, film, television, comics, books and just about everything else.

I found this Batman book in a collection of stuff I bought recently and although it is Batman…I hate it! You see, it is a ‘have your own adventure’ book. But I don’t want a book to ‘give’ me an adventure, I want to read a good adventure story! If I WANT my own adventure…I’ll go climb a small mountain to see if I can get to the top!
