Lake Jovita is a 1,054 acre upscale, master-planned community with two nationally acclaimed golf courses, tennis, fitness, and a full-service clubhouse.
Florida like you can only imagine. Nestled amidst rolling hills and magnificent ancient oak trees, Lake Jovita is truly astonishing. Lake Jovita is a 1,054 acre upscale, master-planned community. Its expansive landscape features rolling hills, undulating valleys, hardwood forests and nationally acclaimed golf courses. The landscape and elevation changes here are far more typical of North Carolina then they are of Florida. But make no mistake Lake Jovita is Florida at its finest. Tampa is just 30 minutes to the south. Set within the uniquely hilly terrain and sparkling fresh water lakes are two spectacular golf courses. The south course, designed by PGA TOUR great Tom Lehman and award winning golf course architect Kurt Sandness and the north course designed by Kurt Sandness, gives every golfer a unique and professional experience. The thirty thousand square foot Club House was inspired by Mediterranean architecture and infused with Key West style and is host to Weddings, Banquets, Tournaments, Meetings and Special Events. The 2,000 square foot state-of-the-art Fitness Center, four fast dry Har-Tru clay Tennis Courts, and Jr. Olympic size swimming pool allow you to be as active as you want. Rated in the Top 100 places to live, the community of Lake Jovita provides every resident and guest with that true "Carolina feeling". Whether you are looking for a beautifully landscaped gated community an exciting, enjoyable private membership, a unique golf experience or a place to host your important event, Lake Jovita offers them all. Resident and non-resident members are afforded full service amenities and are provided an array of events for the entire family. Members, guests, and residents of Lake Jovita, without a doubt, find themselves returning here again and again, never tiring of the elegant surroundings.

Please see the attached label from TECO that is on transformers currently in our community, these stickers need to be followed accordingly especially the information about planting shrubs & structures within 10 feet of the unit, Teco has been in the area lately to work on these units and has had trouble getting to some of them so they asked us to send out a reminder that they will be removing all plantings that are obstructing these units.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Just a reminder that Saint Leo University is hosting several free activities on Monday, January 16, in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A children’s fair will take place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Guest speaker Dr. T. Leon Williams will take a look at what Dr. King would have to say today in a presentation at 5 p.m., and the members of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity will host a candlelight vigil at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome.
If you plan on covering these events and would like me to reserve a parking space, please let me know. Parking always is available in the garage.
Thanks for sharing this information.
Good Morning to all, I hope you had a safe & Happy New Year!
It has been brought to our attention that there have been more & more unleashed animals in our community, I would like to remind everyone of the rules in the CC&R’s about animals on a leash, in Article XI Section 9 it states “All animals must be on a leash at all times when outside the Owners Property”. Please keep in mind this includes while jogging and walking in the park.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Children’s Fair, Special Speaker to Mark MLK Day at Saint Leo
Public is welcome to free events January 16
SAINT LEO, FL – The community is invited to Saint Leo University’s celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 16.
The day’s celebration will begin with a children’s fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Student Activities Green between Kirk Hall and the Student Activities Building. Saint Leo’s student organizations will host fun activities and help educate children about the message of Martin Luther King Jr. In the spirit of giving back to the community, the event is free and will feature arts and crafts; inflatables and bounce houses; carnival activities; and free food.
Guest speaker T. Leon Williams will present “The View from the Mountaintop: What Would Dr. King Say Today?” at 5 p.m. in the Student Community Center boardrooms.
Nearly 50 years after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., the world continues to mourn the life and legacy of one of the most inspirational leaders in world history. In his presentation, Williams assumes the persona of King and reflects on the historical relevance of America’s progress.
Events of the past years show that the United States still has a long way to go to reach King’s dream. Williams will introduce themes of hope for the lost and hurting, faith to” be the change,” selfless love, and charity. With time for the audience to ask questions and start a dialogue, Williams will address the importance of getting in front of these issues instead of reacting to them.
From modest beginnings in Youngstown, Ohio, Williams has earned a doctorate of ministry from Virginia University of Lynchburg. He also holds a Master of Science of Education from the University of Dayton and a bachelor degree from Ohio Northern University in business administration. He serves as the youth-young adult pastor at First Missionary Baptist Church in Concord, NC, and served as campus pastor and director of the Multicultural Center at Elon University.
Both events are free and open to the public. Parking is available in the campus garage, and in the evening is also often available in surface lots. The campus is at 33701 State Road 52, Saint Leo, four miles east of Interstate 75 (Exit 285).
For information, contact Thomas Martin, assistant director of Greek Life and Community Engagement at [email protected] or (352) 588-8266.
It has been brought to our attention that over the weekend there was some damage to some Christmas decorations and a planter on Grand Traverse and possibly a golf cart that belonged in the Villas. If anyone saw anything unusual on Sunday night or any kids roaming unattended or possibly has a security camera that may have seen something please feel free to let me know. We would like to make sure this kind of behavior does not happen again.
Tampa Electric Company (TECO) recently contacted us concerning the utilities easements on properties here in Lake Jovita that have transformers on them. The situation is that home owners have planted shrubs & bushes around these transformers to hide their appearance, and some of these plantings have grown too close to the transformer not allowing for TECO workers to have easy access to work on them when required.
Homeowners that have these transformers on their utility easement will be receiving a letter from TECO explaining the situation and outlining the steps you will need to take to resolve the issue.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The HOA must again address the issue of unleashed dogs within our community. All dogs, large or small must be on a leash at all times when outside of your property. It is a violation of both the Lake Jovita Covenants and Pasco County to not have direct control of your dog at all times. Direct control means immediate, continuous physical control of an animal at all times such as by means of a leash, cord, or chain of such strength to restrain the animal. It is the obligation of the dog’s owner to ensure their dog does not harm or cause distress to others.
There are dog owners in the community that will let their dogs out early in the morning or late evening thinking that not many people are out that early or late so the dog will be OK on its own without being on a leash. Not so. There are residents in Lake Jovita that run or walk early in the mornings or later in the evening. Unattended dogs run up to and after them and recently caused a runner to trip and fall, badly skinning their knees and legs.
As a courtesy to everyone in your community, please do not leave your pets unattended when outside of your home and always have direct control of your pet.
