Do you like to bike? Join the Lumpkin County Mountain biking team. Any 6th - 12th grade boy or girl can join. You just need a bike and a helmet. There is an information meeting on May 12 at 5:30 pm at the high school and a ride with the team event on May 19th meet at 5:30. Congratulations to Asher Boegner! He has put in so much time, effort and training and has earned his place at Brevard College, NC - which is a 12 time men’s mountain biking National Champion! Asher has the second highest number of 1st place finishes in GCA history. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! We are so proud of you!

Lumpkin represented at Southern Cross! Great job everyone who completed Southern Cross today. It was very tough but lots of fun. Asher, Mathieu, Brewer and Shiloh did the 50 miles. Michael, Hank, Aaron, Trent, Coach Diane, Coach Glenn and Coach Dave all did the 30.

Lumpkin County Mountain Bike Team places 2nd at the Peach State Championship in Rome, GA! Woo hoo! Athletes battled it out on a dusty, fun course, and Lumpkin earned several podium finishes! We are so proud of our athletes!

Liam Alhadeff, Grant Dansby-Sparks, John Collins Herrick, Everett Lemley, and Amelia Turk in 8th grade! 5.6 miles

Also, a shout out to Davis McEntyre who had some mechanical issues on the trail, but still ran it in to finish, and Easton Smith who had a wrist injury.

So proud of all the hard work this team put in over the season! It shows! 2nd place in STATE!! Go Lumpkin!

The Kingston Downs race weekend is off to a great start! Our tent is decorated, Coaches participated in the coaches relay race, we checked out a fun 5.6 mile course…
And BEST of all, Lumpkin riders won FIRST place in the East division relay race! 🥇 🥇 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️
