The 96th Midsummer Classic is officially here. 🏟️
All eyes are on Philadelphia as the National League looks to defend its title. The betting markets have the NL as the slight favorite, but the pitching matchup is as elite as it gets:
🔹 NL Starter: Cristopher Sánchez (11-4, 2.62 ERA) The hometown hero gets the nod in his own ballpark, becoming the first Phillies pitcher to start an All-Star Game since Roy Halladay in 2011.
🔹 AL Starter: Dylan Cease (6-4, 2.56 ERA) Leading the American League in strikeouts and FIP (2.18) in his debut season with Toronto.
The Betting Landscape:
âž– Money Line: National League (-142) | American League (+120)
âž– Total Runs: 7.5
The Narrative vs. The Reality:
While the "home cooking" of having six Phillies on the NL roster has pushed the betting line in their favor, bettors are split. The AL is offering value at plus-money (+120), and sharps are split on the total some look at the conveyor belt of elite relievers to keep scoring low (the Under), while others point to the recent trend of high-scoring All-Star games.
Who are you backing? Are you taking the NL to win it for Philly, or is there too much value on the American League to pass up? Let us know your picks in the comments! 👇

Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan was a no-show at his own youth football camp today. Dozens of kids showed up expecting to learn from an NFL pro, only to be met with zero communication and massive disappointment. An absolutely awful look for McMillan. 🤦‍♂️
Conor McGregor earned a staggering $16 million last night that’s over $270,000 per second for his 59-second finish at . 💰🥊

ESPN Analyst Matt Miller Placed on Leave Amid Allegations of Fantasy Football Misconduct
ESPN analyst Matt Miller has been placed on leave by the network as investigations continue into allegations that he misappropriated funds from dozens of fantasy football participants.
The Allegations
Miller, who operated 91 separate fantasy football leagues, is accused of failing to pay out winnings to participants. According to reports, individuals paid entry fees—some as high as $500—to join these leagues, only to be met with silence when the season concluded.
Key concerns regarding the operation include:
Withheld Winnings: Participants report being unable to reach Miller when it came time to collect their prize money.
Charitable Mismanagement: Concerns have been raised regarding the handling of entry fees that were allegedly designated for charitable donations, with participants unable to confirm if or where that money was sent.
Scope of the Situation
The situation appears to be widespread. Following initial reports, Awful Announcing journalists Koo and Kleen have been contacted by more than 40 additional individuals claiming to have experienced similar issues with leagues managed by Miller.
As the investigation in Missouri remains ongoing, ESPN has moved to place Miller on leave while the full extent of these claims is determined.
