WHY WE DO THIS‼
We have partnered with Collin County Community College, and their Scholarship Foundation Program. This program awards over 600 scholarships a school year, and we chose to award a deserving student attending their new Cybersecurity Bachelors Program. We will be donating a percentage of the proceeds to this scholarship fund, and have already committed 1 year of FREE tuition and fees for a lucky student.
We will also be hosting a food drive at the tournament for Aunt Betty’s Community Pantry located in the “Food Desert” of South Dallas. They have been providing food and groceries to South Dallas since 2015. South Dallas has a poverty rate over 40% and an unemployment rate of 20%, AND there isn’t a big grocery store in sight. Supporting over 750 households, totaling over 1,750 individuals - Aunt Betty’s Community Pantry is something that we want to support now, and in the future.
There will be a designated table at the tournament for players to make canned food donations, or monetary donations that will go directly to Aunt Betty's charity.
