Our Lady Panthers hit the field for their very first game of the season against Faubion, and what a start it was! From the opening whistle, it was an exciting back-and-forth battle, with both teams pushing the pace and attacking up the field.
On the offensive side, Alyssa Scharnell, Hallie Krieger, and Alyna Nguyen did a great job creating opportunities and keeping the pressure on. Defensively, Giselle Beachem and Molly Johnson worked hard together to hold down the back line and keep things organized.
Kinslee Daum had an outstanding night, stepping up in a big way. She made 4 key saves in goal and then came through on the offensive end with a goal in the second half to give the Lady Panthers the lead!
Unfortunately, the Faubion Lionettes were able to find the back of the net with just 6 minutes remaining, tying the game 1โ1.
Overall, for their first game, these girls showed great resilience, effort, and a strong willingness to learn and grow.
Our Lady Panthers Blue Team kicked off their season opener at Ron Poe Stadium against Faubion MS. It was a tough match from the start, and it took a little time to find rhythm and settle in as a team. Faubion struck first, but our girls didnโt back down and kept fighting!!
Offensively, Esme Figueroa had a standout performance, finding the back of the net twice with some beautifully placed shots to keep us in the game. In the second half, as Faubion began to widen the gap, Lillie Moyer kept battling and added a goal of her own to help close the score!
Defensively, Reese Taylor was a key leader on the field, organizing the back line and stepping up in big moments, including a clutch save to prevent another goal.
While we didnโt come away with the win, there were a lot of great things happening on the field. This group showed determination, effort, and heart.
Great job, girls! Go Lady Panthers! ๐พโฝ๏ธ

In our final qualifier matches leading into districts, our doubles teams delivered an impressive performance against Faubion Middle School! June Dunn and Marbella Bruneau, Isa Velez and Anelise Juarez, Emmaline Southerland and Kenneth Barrus, and Seb Angeles and Jacob Medford all secured key wins, showcasing outstanding communication, trust, and court awareness. Each pair played with strong cohesion and confidence, reflecting the tremendous growth they have made as doubles teams throughout the season. Their ability to compete under pressure and support one another was evident in every match, and that progress ultimately earned them the opportunity to advance and compete against Ereckson at the district level. Overall, this was a great step forward for our team and a clear indication of the development and potential within our doubles lineup as we continue postseason play.
In our singles qualifier matches against Faubion, our athletes delivered a dominant and focused performance heading into districts. Alicia Pallares, Daniela Pedrajo, Savannah Forshee, Ryder Smith, Luke Duncan, Lincoln Marvin, and Jackie Northup each secured key victories, showcasing consistency, composure, and smart point construction throughout their matches. In singles play, where success often comes down to minimizing errors and sustaining rallies, their ability to stay disciplined and make their opponents hit one more ball proved to be a major advantage. Each player demonstrated strong court awareness and mental toughness, especially during momentum swings, and showed clear growth in both confidence and strategy. Their performances reflect the hard work theyโve put in all season and set the tone for a competitive showing as they advanced to face Ereckson at the district level. Overall, this was a great step forward for our singles lineup and a testament to their continued development and resilience on the court. ๐พ๐พ
