Congratulations to Mercy Juarez and Kaecen Uhl for receiving the Brandy Roberts Legacy Martial Arts Scholarship. These $500 scholarships will be paid to the college/university or trade school of their choice!!! We are very proud of you and I know that Master Brandy would be very proud of you as well! Two very deserving candidates!

Thinking back over this weekend, I am blown away about how much I am in sincere appreciation for everyone who made this year’s event possible!!!

From everyone who helped setup and tear down (Jason Ferrier and the ProComp/ProMac team), to our registration team (Michelle Johnson and the ladies), the officials, scorekeepers,medics, the ones who run around and take care of the food and things that we need from the store last minute, a HUGE THANK YOU is not enough, but I’m going to say it anyway, THANK YOU!!!

To all the competitors who came in from around the North America to include Canada, thank you for attending and participating, everyone of you is a winner and your joy was my joy this weekend!

To all the team coaches and and school owners, thank you for your hard work in training such respectful and downright awesome students! You can tell you are dedicated to your art, and thank you for trusting our event and organization enough to attend and participate!!!

To everyone at the Community Fieldhouse, thank you for being such graceful hosts for our event! Your servant’s heart is evident!

To my PROMAC family, thank you for always supporting and being there for me! So many of you drove or flew in just to help and I’m so grateful for your sacrifice!!!

To our ICO team, thank you for helping and doing all the things you do to help promote our sport around the world!!!! You made a huge impact this weekend!!

To my ProComp Sport Martial Arts (Gilmer, Tyler, and Mineola locations) family (our school) thank you for being so awesome and backing us 100% and great job, we are so proud of each of our students!!!! You guys busted your butts this weekend competing and working behind the scenes! There’s so many of you and I’m so grateful for your hard work!!!

I want to say a special thanks to my best friends in the whole entire world Joe Johnson and Joey Perry, you guys are my rocks and your leadership this weekend and vision for coordinating this event, moving divisions, keeping us on track as far as time and helping keep me sane, thank you!!! You guys are the best in the business!!! (We love and missed you Hollie Perry!)

It was the largest TXO in history and I think best ran and highest level of competition ever at our event!!! Just so blown away! See you all soon and see you next year at the Texas Open 2027!!!
