To all fans that have been anxiously awaiting an update regarding the launch of Gulf States Wrestling Alliance - the launch of GWA has been postponed for an undetermined amount of time, originally due to COVID restrictions and now due to relocation. We will be moving forward with the launch, but at this time it is undetermined as to the exact timing. Please stay tuned for updates at the beginning of the New Year. As fans you have many choices of wrestling promotions to support. We at Gulf States Wrestling Alliance proudly support KING OF SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING, and strongly encourage all of you to attend one of their events. This promotion is responsible for the “original” rebirth of Texas Strong Style wrestling, and promotes the same vision as Gulf States Wrestling Alliance set out with nearly two years ago. OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM GULF-STATES WRESTLING ALLIANCE: At Gulf-States Wrestling Alliance the safety and well being of our wrestlers, staff, and fans is our primary concern. Due to the recent spike of reported cases of COVID-19 directly affecting the state of Texas, the GWA has made the difficult decision to postpone our January 3, 2021 launch of events, seminars, etc., to a projected date of April 11, 2021.
As seen below, Texas has seen a 62% increase of positive COVID cases in the last 3 weeks. We understand that overall testing is up and that positive result figures are a direct result of increased testing and not necessarily indicative of an increased ratio of COVID positive residents - however we do see this as an opportunity to become more aware of the presence of the virus within our Texas-based community and state population.
The majority of our roster has been acquired from outside of the state of Texas, and will be traveling countless miles and, in many cases, across multiple state lines to arrive here in Texas each week. It is for this reason that we have made this difficult decision to protect our roster which consists primarily of the best talent from across the country, rather than simply Texas based talent. Our entire GWA roster anxiously awaits the opportunity to showcase their ability, energy, and wrestling skill for the fans of Texas and the entire Gulf States region, but as we remain vigilant and committed to our athletes’ and their families’ safety, we refuse to put them at risk by intentionally bringing them into a COVID hotspot for the sake of a dollar. Likewise, we will not risk the safety of our GWA supporters and fans, or their friends and families’ safety.
MAKE NO MISTAKE - Gulf-States Wrestling Alliance is still going full force behind the scenes, and we are going to hit Texas and the Gulf Region with wrestling events unlike anything that has been seen in decades. That is our commitment to you - the GWA fans - and all who are committed to this passion project. Understand that when the virus is 100% GONE, the GWA will be 100% ON! We strongly encourage all promotions in the COVID “hotspots” around the country to take every available precaution to protect your fans and the atheletes on your roster(s). Remember that they are the life blood of your promotions, and their safety should not be sacrificed at any cost. UPDATE: OCTOBER 10, 2020 ... THE GWA MULTI-MEDIA TITLE WILL BE DECIDED IN HOUSTON TEXAS!
Fans, Gulf-States Wrestling Alliance is proud to announce that we have partnered with Houston based Fearless Pro Wrestling to determine the first ever GWA Multi-Media Champion. The match will take place at the Fearless Pro Wrestling event on Saturday Oct 10, and will feature two of the finest competitors in the great state of Texas, #1 contender Brysin Scott and his opponent for the evening #2 contender Jared Wayne. Fearless Pro Wrestling Promoter and spokesperson Tyler Crutchfield released this statement tonight - “We here at Fearless Pro Wrestling pride ourselves on working with other promotions throughout Texas and the world. With that said on October 10th Brysin Scott vs. Jared Wayne will now be sanctioned by Gulf-States Wrestling Alliance and will be for the GWA Multi Media Championship.”

We are proud to announce #1 contender, who will be fighting for the honor of becoming the first GWA Gulf States Heavyweight Champion next month - 6’4” 340 # CASHFLO, from Louisville Kentucky!
