Athletics Mercado-Trevino 16U would like to thank all of the athletes who attended tryouts yesterday. We appreciate your time, effort, and interest in our program.

We will be hosting a second round of tryouts next weekend to finalize our Fall roster. We are primarily looking for athletes who align with our current roster and graduating classes of 2028 and 2029.

If you are unable to attend next weekend's tryout but are interested in learning more about our team, please contact Eric Trevino 214.536.0415. He can arrange an individual workout for your athlete.

Athletics Mercado – Trevino 16U is looking to add a few key pieces to our talented roster this fall!

Based in the DFW area, our team draws athletes from approximately a 75-mile radius, bringing together dedicated players who are committed to competing at a high level and achieving their goal of playing college softball.

Our program focuses on player development, high-level competition, and college exposure. This fall, we’ll be actively getting our athletes in front of college coaches and schools, providing opportunities to showcase their skills and continue building relationships throughout the recruiting process.

Organization Tryout Dates:

• August 8

Private tryouts are also available for athletes who cannot attend the scheduled dates.

The season may have ended a few days sooner than we hoped, but what a journey it has been. ❤️🥎

This team faced adversity from the very beginning. We experienced roster changes, said goodbye to some players, welcomed new ones, and had to learn how to come together as one. It wasn’t always easy, and it definitely wasn’t always pretty. There were frustrating games, tough losses, and moments that tested every single one of us.

But these girls never stopped competing.

They challenged themselves against some of the best teams in the country and battled until the very last out. Even in our final game, they continued to fight. A huge shoutout to #21 Mallory Koller, whose clutch 2-run home run gave us life and reminded everyone that this team never quits.

Tournament after tournament, they continued to grow—not just as softball players, but as teammates. The chemistry got stronger, the confidence grew, and the fight in this team became impossible to ignore.

While the ending wasn’t what we had envisioned, we’re incredibly proud of how far this group came. The resilience, determination, and love for competition they showed all season long is something they should carry with them.

To our players, thank you for trusting the process, pushing one another, and representing Athletics Mercado-Trevino with heart every time you stepped on the field.

This season may be over, but the work continues. The future is bright, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.

Thank you to our families, friends, and everyone who supported us all season long. We’ll be back.
