This is an ode to self. I’m down right now, but that means that my next option is up because staying here is out of the question. I will not lay down in this. I don’t know where to start other than I know I can’t lay here any longer so I start my day with simply getting up. Just start somewhere. Stand up. Thank God for another day and another opportunity to make more of today than I did yesterday. Now GET UP! You’ve got this! Transformation starts with your mind.

I started out at about 32 minutes. I’m still not quite where I want to be but this is progress. The more I run, the more I realize how much of this is mind over matter. I kept hitting this rut at about 29 minutes. I noticed that mentally I was stuck as well but yesterday I was just over 27 minutes! What’s got you mentally stuck and is it effecting other parts of your life like your physical health? Don’t stop! Let’s keep going! We’re in this together! Who’s down for a ( ) 5k?

One of my favorite super foods is the beet. Their rich pigmentation that turns your drinks and your hands a bright purplish-red/fuchsia is from the healthy nitrates and antioxidants. Beets can decrease inflammation, increase blood circulation, improve heart health, and increase energy. They’re low calorie and high in nutrients.
