Today we ran the Texas Shaped Loop, a 11 mile Social Run organized by David Walker. What a magic moment with friends and other runners, beautiful Morning, colorful path, great weather, an effort worth the while.
Great prep for upcoming races!! Thank you Runners for LIFE David, Pao, Robert and IRC for your Team work and support!! What a special time we had!!

We have been "heat conditioning" for weeks now. Trying to be prepared for the Hot Trot 10k (6.2 miles) in Dallas this weekend. Some of our friends are running the half marathon (13.1 miles/21k).

Best of luck to all of is and all our friends and the runners we have yet to befriend.

It's not that we haven't tried to be prepared but this summer has been brutal! Some days the temperature has been as high as 108°F (42.2°C) but typically with very low humidity.
I think I remember one evening was hot and humid and resulted in a 113°F (45°C) "feels like" temperature.
We shall see what happens in the morning!

David finally broke the 8 minute pace for 5k. It's been a year (well, tomorrow is a year) since the ankle injury.
7:43 pace for a 23:59 5k finish!
Thank you series for an amazing race!
See you in 2 weeks at 5k-9!

David bought a new over-the-door organizer to better access his shoes.
I think that now David realizes that he may have a problem...or a brand, at the very least!

We had a great time Saturday at the 10k.
Camilo ran his second 10k and improved by 2 min +.
Paola blasted her way to the finish line to win 1st in Women's Masters (40+ ages)
David managed a 2nd place in his division.
Marisol got to take a selfie with The Amazing Spider-man!
(Then she included all of us in the shot)
This was also Paola and Camilo's running anniversary of 1 year!
Next up is the on September 8th. See you there?
