Thanks to President Donald J. Trump, the DOJ and ATF have officially removed the Biden-era zero-tolerance policies that targeted lawful gun owners across the nation.

NRA-ILA Exec. Director John Commerford had the opportunity to attend the historic event with Acting AG Todd Blanche and ATF Director Rob Cekada.

New leadership at ATF comes with a massive shift — one of the largest one-day regulatory overhauls in the agency’s history.

The overhaul spans 30+ rules, targeting Biden-era policies, streamlining compliance, and shifting the framework back toward lawful gun owners.

Changes include reducing burdens on FFLs, rolling back Biden-era rules, and strengthening gun owner privacy — including limits on long-term record retention and the repeal of the pistol brace rule.
