π‘ 2nd Annual Planning Meeting!!
Last year, Jon & I eloped for a long weekend to look at all things schedule, my business, career discussions, Hans, travel...you name it, we covered it.
So we decided it would become a yearly event. I'm so happy we found this idea on Instagram because the couple who inspired us deserves some kudos ππ» Time away gives us dedicated brain power to planning but it also gives us time to connect on a level we don't get everyday.
π We also invite Abby along for part of the weekend because our families have overlapping planning that requires discussion, too.

Not gonna lie. It felt like a beat down.
π₯° But Jon & I decided we were only going to do the obstacles we wanted to do & just have fun. This was my 5th Spartan race after all (3rd Super & also completed 2 Sprints).
π£ It was still painful, but we completed it & in just over 2 hours, so we felt good about it.
π€ The finisher sign made me think.
"The only way is the hard way."
πββοΈ There's definitely some truth to this...

π«‘ Two obstacles in particular tested me today. I failed the wall one. But I was OK with it. I was reminded that there's always more to learn. Always more ways to improve & opportunities get stronger. πͺπ» The low crawl under the barbed wire was hard. It takes everything you have.
πΆβπ«οΈ Life is full of hard times. But as a wise friend recently told me: hard doesn't have to mean bad. It's just hard. π«Άπ»

Sprint you say?
πΊ Hold my beer. This 5k Sprint somehow turned into almost 6 miles. π²
π The course was beautiful, but not the distance we had in mind. Not sure if we ended up on the Spartan Super course for a time or what...π€
β³ We still finished in record time though IMO. 6 miles + 20 obstacles in under 2 hours.
π Biggest win? I conquered my obstacle nemesis: the Multi-Rig.
On the Dallas course, it's always been positioned at the end when I've had no grip strength left & right after a water obstacle so my hands have been wet. On the Seattle course, I was able to complete it. First time ever. Winning for sure!

πββοΈ The last 7 days have been amazing!
This is the first time I attended The Real Coaches Summit & I was blown away. This intimate event provides Fitness & Nutrition Coaches education & knowledge to benefit our clients, ways to better ourselves & actionable ways to grow our businesses.

I think I've found my annual education event.
ππ» I met others in the industry who inspired me & challenged me to think differently & act. I'm so grateful that .habit.emma told me about this event in the first place. Thank you, girl! ππ»
π After the conference, I made a trip to see a couple of clients. What an amazing 24 hours we had! Great discussion, delicious food & of course we threw in some fitness ππͺπ»
π And I can't leave out the beautiful quality time Jon Neuhaus & I shared at the front end of these 7 days. We ate, drank, swam, walked & just enjoyed each other's company. Oh & we did the Sphere experience. Highly recommend!
