Kevin's Kustom Archery

This is, admittedly, a kids bow, but what a beauty she is! Been looking for that stave with the perfect knot to punch out, and this was the one. I'm sure there's something creative I could have done with that!

Recurve for a tall guy with long arms, she's 69" long overall! Not a typical length for a recurve, but this stave and the long draw warrants it. She's quick and smooth!

This is a Christmas present I made for my baby girl by request. Nothing fancy, just plain and simple straightforward shooting! She saw another primitive style bow I was working on and asked for something like it... so here it is, with a few tweaks!

Just finished up this beauty for a close friend, going to his son for a christmas gift. Elm I harvested this summer. Static recurve 45 #@30". It's a sweet shooter and FAST!! Photo shoot to follow in a week or so :-)

I was cleaning up trees today from storm damage this season. I stumbled across a Hackberry Tree that wanted to give me some staves!

Not much going on in the way of bowmaking these past months! I did manage to get these done and shipped back in March. It's a husband/wife set, both bows from the same tree I believe (aww, how sweet ;-) )
Both are from Elm (my favorite wood to work with at the moment). The larger one was actually completed back in December, but the owner had an accident and snapped the lower limb almost completely off 8-o . I had to do some patching and gluing, and it was really touch-n-go there for a bit. I wasn't sure if it would live again! However, thanks to some glue, silk thread, and patience, I think she'll live!
