National Water Safety Month is ending, but the summer season is just beginning, and we want to share another tip on how we can all stay safe in and around the water. ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Tip 2๏ธโƒฃ: Never swim alone without a Water Watcher.

โœจ When children are swimming, make sure they are actively supervised at all times. โœจ Teach your children that they should only swim in locations where a lifeguard is on duty, or where a responsible adult agrees to watch the children in the water without distractions.

We get it, stress can creep in at any time so itโ€™s important that you equip yourself with a few quick techniques that can help you move through the day a bit easier.

๐Ÿ‘‰Letโ€™s start with deep breathing, a way to destress by controlling your breathing patterns.
๐Ÿ”นGo somewhere quiet and close your eyes (this allows you to focus more on your breathing)
๐Ÿ”นInhale for four counts - take a deep breath, filling your lungs as you count to four slowly
๐Ÿ”นHold your breath for four counts
๐Ÿ”นExhale slowly for four counts
๐Ÿ”นPause for four counts and hold again for four seconds

Repeat as needed to help calm the noise in your head. This simple yet effective exercise can be a way to give you a moment to process whatever is happening in your life, calming your nervous system.
