The biggest thank you to at for getting me all set up on this beautiful new ride for yesterday’s race simulation!
+
I may have dragged my feet a little bit on the registration process for 70.3 Little Elm, but it is going to be a great way to kick off the 2026 season and share the course with so many friends — because after all, this is what it’s truly about! I’ve met so many great people through this sport, and I think I would have major regret not lining up to share this inaugural event in our own community!

Here we go!

Correction vs. encouragement came up in a conversation this week & made me think of this quote I’d seen before.
-
There are times when correction is necessary, but I also think there’s a great art to offering that correction in a way that’s productive.
-
As a teacher, my students often called me “strict but loving,” and it’s an approach I aim to take out of the classroom too.”
-
Who can you encourage today?

2024 brought me of the biggest challenge of my professional career: relaunching the IRONMAN U Coach Certification Course and Programming.
🏊♀️ 🚲 🏃♀️
-
It was a larger-than-expected project 😳 with numerous challenges, but seeing coaches post their final exam results and earned certifications going into the 2025 season makes me proud. 😃
-
There’s lots still to do (!!) but I am eager to further improve and develop the education available to triathlon coaches.
-
In Taupo, I had the opportunity to host a talk for athletes with guest speakers and . It felt like an excellent way to put some finishing touches on the year and the key contributions both of these legends made to the new course.

Saw this quote in a newsletter from .life and really connected with the message.

Between crashing on my bike last week and being forced to take a little extra “down time,” and filming new coach education content that emphasized the importance of allowing the body to recover and repair after hard training, the importance of rest has been right in front of me.
-
One of the best discussions in the last few weeks was about how it’s not just about training more, but about absorbing the training you can do.
-
So cheers to rest! 🥂

I’m deeply feeling this quote this week … this year!!
-
I’ve recently taken on some challenges that I felt I was under qualified and/or unprepared for. But here we are!!
-
One of the biggest challenges of my career has been to undertake the relaunch of the IRONMAN U Coach Certification Program. It’s been an amazing opportunity and one that has helped me grow both personally and professionally.
-
I’m taking the lessons from each day into the next and cannot wait to see how else that will influence the path forward for both the program and my personal growth!

It’s been a weary few weeks here with getting very sick and still trying to push a few big projects to the finish line.
-
This has been the verse I’ve read each night, praying for rest.
-
This verse is spoken by Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, where he invites those who are struggling and burdened to come to him and find rest.
-
The full verse goes, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
-
The context of this verse is that Jesus is addressing a large crowd of people who have been following and listening to his teachings. He offers them a message of hope and comfort, inviting them to turn to him for rest and relief from their burdens.
-
The meaning of this verse is that Jesus understands the struggles and hardships of life, and he offers to bear our burdens and give us rest if we come to him. The phrase “weary and burdened” could refer to physical exhaustion, emotional distress, or spiritual turmoil. Jesus is offering a solution to all of these struggles by inviting us to take on his “yoke,” or teachings, which are described as gentle and humble. By learning from Jesus and following his example, we can find peace and rest for our souls.
