Recovery is an essential element of anyone and everyone’s training and wellness regimen.
If you train muscles once again before they are fully repaired, they will never have he adequate amount of time to recover and to grow stronger. It is common to experience DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) for some time after an exhaustive workout, however, if you experiencing soreness for more than seventy-two (72) hrs, it may be good indication that your body is struggling to recover and you need a rest.
After having undergone seven (7) knee surgeries in less than fourteen (14) year, four (4) of which happened last year alone, you tend to acquire some much needed wisdom. Our bodies are merely temporary. We must respect them, as they serve an incredible purpose that is beyond our understanding.
Take some time throughout your days to treat yourself. There is no other you.

She’s feminine and fashionable, but wears a crooked crown because real ladies aren't perfect and perfect ladies aren't real. She’s evolving into a woman who no longer falls in love with potential. She works damn hard, owns her own and owns up to who she is. [ 54 more words ]

As one season of growth comes to an end and another season of fruition is beginning, I would like to thank the Women’s Football Organization and the Dallas Elite Women’s Football organization for allowing me an opportunity to play with passion once again.
Over 13 years ago, when I first put on shoulder pads and strapped my helmet on, I did not quite understand what all that had meant, just how much of an impact that had made. I had saw the reactions. I had heard the remarks, but most of all, I had saw the smiles - including my very own. I had proved many people wrong (and right - especially myself) and had transformed into one hell of a warrior on that field.
And I am still transforming.
Though my rookie season came to an abrupt pause stemming from my third ACL injury, I am forever thankful to have experienced such a glorious game with such amazing women. Over half of our team had NEVER PLAYED the game of football before!! It is truly incredible to see these women transform.
Shoutout to these beautiful and strong women who I am lucky to call my SISTERS.
We rise by lifting others and that is exactly what they do for me. It is an amazing thing when you can feel the power behind the blessings that surround you. Thank you! Stay classy. Stay Elite.
