WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT B***Y BANDS⁠

I'm sure you've heard about b***y bands or you're already a proud owner. 🍑⁠

But do you know how to use them to maximize your b***y growth? Did you know why they are such a great buddy?⁠

Here I summarize, why they're so great:⁠

⦁ Unlike free weights, resistance bands force you to work hard in both directions of movement. That is, eccentrically (when the muscle lengthens) and concentrically (when the muscle shortens). This means your muscles will be working for longer, and you’ll be burning more calories, and gaining more muscle mass. ⁠

⦁ With improved function and strength of muscles, metabolism is increased. ⁠

⦁ As we mentioned before, resistance bands have the dual function of resistance and assistance. Exercises can become easier when needed, especially in the beginning with the aid of a resistance band. ⁠

⦁ Resistance bands are small and compact, so you can take them anywhere, and use them anytime. Well, maybe not anytime, but you get the idea. ⁠

⦁ The colours are cute as hell, so even if you feel like a fool using them, at least you’ll be using them in style! ⁠

WHAT YOU NEED TO IMPLEMENT IF YOU WANNA LOSE WEIGHT⁠

So many people want to lose some extra pounds and they want it quickly.⁠

What they don't realize is there is no shortcut for weight loss. ⁠

This is a lifestyle that you wanna live in. You wanna be healthy, toned and full of energy. But you need to take small steps, enjoy the journey and celebrate every milestone. ⭐⁠

So what should you focus on when being on this weight loss journey?⁠

🥙Having a balanced diet⁠
How many meals per day is your optimum?⁠
🥗Eat enough proteins and fresh foods⁠
Do you eat too many snacks and sweets?⁠
💧Drink enough water⁠
Do you drink water or calories in soft drinks?⁠
🏋️‍♀️Do exercises that bring you joy⁠
Find what you enjoy and do it 3 times per week.⁠
🚶‍♀️Move as much as you can during the day⁠
Walk instead of driving.⁠
⏲️Be patient and persistent⁠
Change requires time, respect it and enjoy the journey.⁠

Banded Side Step Squat by 🍑

🍑 Place your band just above your knees and stand with your feet together

🍑 With your right foot, take a wide step out to the right and squat down

🍑 As you straighten the legs, step your right foot back in

🍑 DO 20 reps

🍑 Repeat on the left side

Resistance bands are designed for years of use, however, like all your gym equipment (and really anything in life), misuse and overusing them can cause them to deteriorate at an alarming rate. Essentially, if you look after them, they’ll look after you! 🍑⁠

🍑 You’ll find that a lot of resistance band-related exercises will call for you to position the band around your feet, that’s why it’s so important to make sure you’re wearing non-abrasive trainers, to prevent wear and tear on your bands. ⁠

🍑 It’s vital to remain sensible with your bands, only stretch them as far as you have to, and if you feel them start to become overstretched, try using a looser band to get the stretch you want. The longer you overstretch them, the higher the risk becomes of them snapping mid exercise, causing harm to both you, and anybody around you. ⁠

🍑 When you put something soft (your resistance band) around something hard (a pole, bench, etc.), and force is created, the soft object will always come out worse for wear. If you place a soft cloth between your band and your hard surface, you’ll keep your band healthy and happy, and stretching for years!⁠

🍑 Before starting every workout session, it’s best to check your bands for any wear, rips, or holes. If there is any damage, no matter the size, it’s best not to use them until they’ve been fixed or replaced, as even a minor rip can suddenly turn into a big problem with a single stretch. ⁠
