Otis L. Pillow, 82, was granted his angel wings on Saturday, March 3, 2013, at 8:05 p.m., after a two-year battle with cancer. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Memorials: The family requests, in lieu of flowers, to please make donations to Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 Western Place, Suite 105, Fort Worth, Texas 76107, www.chot.org, or to the American Cancer Society , www.cancer.org/donate. Otis was born Oct. 7, 1930, in Elmer, Okla. He was a longtime resident of Texas. He graduated from Trimble Technical High School in 1949 and he served three years in the Army in Germany. He had a Bowling Pro Shop for 35 years. He sold bowling balls, shoes and other accessories. Bowling was his love of life. He taught many people how to bowl and drilled their bowling balls to fit their hands. Otis had many friends and was "Dad" or "Pops" to almost everyone who knew him. He was best known for his smile and love of people. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all. Survivors: Wife of 38 years, Johnnie Pillow; sons, Billy Pillow and Melissa Melissa Macb, Brian Wolfe and wife,Ronda Reece-Wolfe; daughter, Lisa Venus; eight grandchildren Billie Rae Pillow Stephanie Gilchrest Brian Wolfe Scott Chambers Ashley Alexander ; and five great-grandchildren. And 1000's of loyal and happy customers!
