TM Studios is delighted to be supporting The Radio Academy's Aria Awards, taking place tonight in London. It's a chance to celebrate outstanding broadcasting and audio production, shining the light on the finest radio shows, podcasts, audio networks and broadcasters from across the UK.
This year, TM Studios is sponsoring the Best Music Breakfast Show category, and we'll be there on the night, cheering all the nominees. We're also very proud that our work for Magic Radio has been nominated in the Station Branding category - here's to team Magic Radio!
Over 87% of the UK population listen to radio every week - that's over 50 million people. It takes an audio village to create new, diverse content every day for that many people, and we're proud to be a part of it. Here's to radio and audio, and here's to tonight at the Roundhouse in London.
PS We hear that Chris Stevens is in charge of the TM drinks budget... go find him! 🤣

Jim Clancy, legendary jingle singer, bass vocalist, and father to our CEO, has passed away.
He died on April 16 after a courageous, year-long battle with cancer. He was 87.
Jim is widely regarded as the most recorded bass singer of all time. Over the course of five decades, he lent his rich voice to jingles for thousands of radio stations, many of them right here at TM. He was so beloved that clients would often request him by name. One famously told his Program Director, “Don’t even bother getting on the plane to Dallas if Clancy isn’t on the session.”
His son, Greg, followed in his footsteps, entering the Dallas jingle community straight out of college and eventually becoming the CEO of TM Studios.
Reflecting on his father’s legacy, Greg shared:
“I was enthralled with the amazing demo reels full of lush harmonies that Dad would bring home. I started editing my favorites together on 1/4” tape at the age of seven. It wasn’t until years later, when I entered the business, that I realized how highly regarded he was in the radio community, and how revered he was as a man of great character.”
Beyond jingles, Jim was a founding force behind the creation of the Vocal Majority, the acclaimed all-male chorus established in 1971. Under his leadership, the Vocal Majority earned an unprecedented 11 gold medals in Barbershop Harmony Society International Competitions, including an extraordinary streak of 10 consecutive wins. This legacy stands as a testament to his visionary artistry, musical brilliance, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
To many of us, Jim was the GOAT of jingle singers. But more than that, he was a mentor, a leader, and a friend. He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and the entire jingle and radio community.
In our sadness, we’ve found comfort in the stories you’ve shared, the memories, the kind words, the prayers, and the heartfelt messages. Thank you for helping us celebrate Jim’s life and legacy.
Details regarding a memorial service will be shared soon.
