IT'S OKAY TO REST!

I am still a work in progress but I am not where I was.

Years ago, my Aunt was visiting with us and she observed how busy I was. One day day she sat me down & said Fungayi muzukuru, please you need to know that you are not superwoman🤣😂.

When I turned 50, a colleague & fellow Pastor in our community took me out for a sister to sister birthday dinner and she had a candid conversation with me about the importance of taking time to rest. She had observed how busy my life gets🙈.

Among other things, she encouraged me once in a while to take what she calls "Pyjama Day", just sleep in & if possible spend the day in your PJ's (in my head I am thinking of the verse that says, a little sleep, a little slumber.......😂), get wellness checks, take supplements etc.

I will never forget these conversations. You cannot pour out from an empty vessel. Give yourself permission to rest without feeling guilty.

Welcome to the month of December!

Choose to be a blessing to someone in this season. Make it a December to Remember for someone.
