With nearly 20 years dedicated to SVAA, Chris has been a huge part of our community while also earning multiple national titles and coaching on the international stage.

💙 Umpire Spotlight: Luke Clair 💙

We love taking a moment to recognize the incredible young officials who make such a big impact on our players—and this week is a special one.

At a game this past Saturday, Luke Clair stepped into a challenging role running the pitching machine. Like many would, he started off a little nervous—but it didn’t take long for him to find his confidence and settle in like a pro.

What stood out the most wasn’t just how he handled the game—it was how he showed up for the kids. From encouraging words after tough moments to simply being present when players needed it most, he brought a level of awareness and care that truly made a difference.

“He made our boys feel seen in a way that only he could.” 💙

That’s what this league is all about.

We are so proud of the effort, heart, and leadership Luke showed on that field. Thank you to all of our umpires who go above and beyond to create a positive experience for our players!
