The Texas USSSA Hall of Fame is proud to announce its 2024 Hall of Fame Class. These people will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, February 24th at the DFW Airport Marriott South at 7 p.m.

The 2024 Texas USSSA Hall of Fame banquet will begin at 7 o'clock
at the DFW Airport Marriott South in Fort Worth, Texas. A cocktail reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. prior to the banquet. A cash bar will be available.

The public is invited to attend. The cost of admission is $60 per person for the banquet.

The Texas USSSA Hall of Fame extends its congratulation to these deserving invidivuals.

The Celebration of Life for Christopher Burke will be on Sunday, April 16th at the Charles W. Smith Funeral Home, located at 2925 5th Street in Sachse, Texas, at 2 p.m. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life service.

Dress is casual ... we look forward to seeing you there as we celebrate Christopher's life, both on earth and in Heaven.

Congratulations to Walter Reed, the 2023 recipient of the Danny Malone Lifetime Achievement Award for his 40+ years of umpiring. Walter was presented his award on Saturday night at the 2023 Texas USSSA Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Over 100 people welcomed the 2023 Class of the Texas USSSA Hall of Fame at their induction on Saturday night at the DFW Airport Marriott South hotel in Ft. Worth, Texas. Those in the class are, from left to right, Chris Thames (Director), BARRY Horvitz (Special), Danny Escobar (Manager), Tommy Lyons (Umpire), Dennis shrum (Male Player), Tim Barnes (Manager), Bud Weathers (Male Player), Darryl Ellis (Umpire), Mark Burnias ((Sponsor) and Robert Boudreaux (Special). Also inducted but unable to attend was Freddie Simpson in the Male Player category.

Please congratulate these men on their inclusion in the 2023 class of 2023. Thanks to Tommy Hawkins (WTX), Ben Templeton (STX) and Arnie Burke (NTX) for their assistance in helping Texas USSSA strive to become one of the best slowpitch organizations in the country.

League signup for the spring season of the 2023 Garland Softball Association leagues schedule is Sunday, February 12th, between 2 and 5 o'clock at the M. G "Jerry" Carter Softball Complex. League play begins on Sunday, February 26th at 5 o'clock. League play begins on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 7 o'clock and at 7:45 p.m. on Friday nights.

League fee will remain at $400 per team for the 8-game doubleheader format. Balls must be purchased from GSA to be used in league play.

The following leagues play on the following nights:

Men's Open - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
Men's Church - Monday
Women's Open - Thursday
Mixed Open & Church - Sunday and Friday

We are REALLY looking for women's teams to play in our Thursday night league. We've only been able to have 3 or 4 teams this last year and are looking to grown the leagues. If you our your team is interested, please give me a call.

Our Monday night Church league is going to expand include both men's open and men's church teams on Monday nights.

It is with great sadness that I have to let everyone know that Phillip Wheeler passed away this morning due to a heart attach ...

Phillip has been involved with USSSA Slowpitch, USSSA Fastpitch and USSSA Baseball for many years from Big League Dreams in Mansfield to both North and South Texas leagues and tournaments. ..
Phillip was inducted to the Texas USSSA Hall of FAme as an umpire this past January ...

He will be greatly missed by directors, umpires, players and fans alike ...

As soon as we have more information regarding funeral services, we'll let everyone know ...

Please be in prayer for his family at this time ...
