First 3 rounds of District matches are in the books at Duncanville HS—and what a day it’s been!

1st Round – Advancing to Top 8
*Emily Castillo (GS) battled through a tough 3-set match to defeat Horn: 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (7-4)
* Emiliano Sanchez (BS) with a default win over DeSoto: 6-0, 6-0
* Angel Leal (BS) dominated DeSoto: 6-0, 6-0
* Zoey Valenzuela / Skylar Williams (GD) – Bye
* Camila Sanchez / Mackenzie Ranft (GD) – Bye
* Henry Macias / Martin Garza (BD) defeated Horn: 6-3, 6-1
* Amari Cleaver / Elijah Romero (BD) defeated Cedar Hill: 6-1, 6-4
* Richard Barron / Anabel Casarez (Mixed) defeated DeSoto: 6-4, 6-1

So proud of the grit, focus, and heart these players showed all day long. Long matches, pressure moments, and they kept fighting! 💙💪

Finals are tomorrow at 9:00 AM at Duncanville HS.

What a day! Corsicana put on an amazing tournament and somehow kept that cold front away until the very last match. 🎾

Tons of matches, hard-fought wins, medals earned and all surrounded by those gorgeous bluebonnets. 💙🌼

What a great day for tennis! We managed to get the entire Mesquite Tournament in with just a few drops of rain.

MHS at the Arlington Tennis Tournament

There’s something special about watching our players compete in 40-degree cold, pushing through the wind and tough matches doing what they could to not back down.

It’s more than tennis, it’s heart, resilience, and pride in their maroon. So proud of the way they fought during every match.
