The title of my talk is "The Seat You Take Determines Your Fate: the Power of Proximity" where I will share how we can overcome self-sabotage by being intentional with our proximity to people, opportunities/situations, and the spaces we go into.

I am ALL about supporting people in their journey toward stepping into their purpose and passion and living out their dreams...especially when done at times in life that may not be the norm (aka "I'm too old." "I missed my opportunity.", etc.).

My friend, Janicka Arthur, has a dance school called, The Art of VII, created for ADULTS, focused on helping them rediscover themselves through the power of movement...where they come alive, one step at a time! I mean, HELLO! How could I not support THAT mission?!

I do not know anyone else with such a refreshing model...if you are an adult who wants to take a ballet class, usually you can only find classes offered at a lower level at studios that primarily are focused on teaching kids. Want to find a modern class for adults? Good luck with that! THIS is completely different.

The reason I am telling you all of this is because the school has outgrown their current space and they need our help. Janicka has found THE location to grow into to serve even more people in more ways...I got to visit the proposed new space and I can see her beautiful vision for it. It is centrally located in Dallas with easy access to downtown, the DFW and Love Field airports, I635, the Tollway, and 121, so people can easily access it after work, etc.

But the only way she can move forward is to raise just a bit more capital. She is SO close to reaching her fundraising goal so to trigger the process of moving forward before someone else snags the location, and I invite you to be a part of it. Would you consider giving to the arts and this truly unique concept that serves adults? $5, $50, $500? No amount is too small!
