DYCL Knights

Inspired by a back to back half century and 4 wickets by Abhiram, well supported by , Sheikh ,Burhaan, and Anshul, DYCL Knights defeated the Westlake team today

Half centuries by Ali Sheikh and Abhiram followed by a 4 wicket haul by Ishaan ensure an easy victory in the DCL T20 season opener for the DYCL Knights

Extremely proud to announce that Ali Samad and Ali Sheik (15 yrs old) have been selected for the next phase of US men's cricket trials. We thank our coaches for identifying the talent in these players and giving them the best training for them to excel in batting, bowling and fielding. We thank our coach Mark Demos for training them and making them strong physically and mentally. We like to thank the entire Dallas Cricket League community for supporting these players. Let's all wish them best of luck for the trials and their future cricketing goals

A gritty inning by Ali Sheikh at the top scoring 77 in a tough situation under the cold weather of low 40s wins him back to back man of the match award in the premier league. He was supported well by his not so senior partner Ali Samad. The Knights once again showed their determination to win the game and compete at the highest level. Good fielding and bowling by Burhaan Nadeem brought the team to the last one over battle, with 10 runs required by the opponents and one wicket in hand. Abhiram Valisammagari handled the pressure well, the first ball went for 4, the second one for a couple and 2 singles on 3rd and 4th ball. With one run to win in 2 balls, Abhiram stops the batsman's drive diving to his right and then hits the non-striker's stumps to get the last wicket. The team wins by 6 wickets as they lost only 4 wickets. The 4 Knights were playing for DFW Scorpions in the premier-league, under the captaincy of Ali Samad

Ali Sheikh (MAN OF the MATCH) starts off with a calculated half century and 2 for 36 in 8 overs playing for Scorpions on 4/1 in the NTCA premier league. Burhaan Nadeem, as usual, showed his class in Off-Spin bowling by grabbing 3 wickets in 6 overs for just 25 runs. DYCL Knights players have been a regular feature of the DFW Scorpions team starting in 2017, and we are very appreciative of their team management and captain Ali Samad. Ali Samad has been leading the DYCL Knights team brilliantly and under the able guidance of our coach, Asif Mujtaba has grown in strength and skills in the past 2 years. Ali Samad who just turned 20, himself scored a brilliant 70 in 61 balls and is a leading contender for team USA. He has taken additional responsibility in building this youth team and is a role model for many young players.

Anshul starts off with a brilliant 45 of just 49 balls in the Men's league playing for Eagles on 3/25. DYCL Knights play as a team in Dallas Cricket League, leading now in both T20 as well as T30. They also play in NTCA premier league and other divisions. Congrats Anshul on a good start. Anshul is also a very good left-arm spinner. He is trained by coach Asif Mujtaba , and DallasYouth CricketLeague is proud to have a player like him
