Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on 105.3 The Fan, said he hasn’t had any thoughts this season that maybe this team just isn’t good enough.

“This team is made up of a lot of the same players that won 12 games the last three seasons. Right now we’re just going through adversity. We’ve had more than our share of injuries it feels like this year, especially on the defensive side of the ball. … I think we have really good football players. At times we’ve had spurts when we’ve played well and obviously at times we’re not playing well.”

Owner Jerry Jones became quite defensive on today’s 105.3 The Fan radio show. He refused to address or acknowledge any questions about the Cowboys lack of spending in the offseason and threatened to have the hosts removed from the show.

He also mentioned going to a league meeting in Atlanta, stating that today is probably a good day to lay low and get out of town.

Jones has maintained that he’s not making in any coaching personnel changes or bringing in any new players. He is satisfied with the current roster and still feels they can be a top team this season.
