My husband and I have been together for 11 years, married for 4 of those years...

And we've both wanted to walk away and made false attempts to do so... multiple times.

We didn't start out like the typical "new love" couple...

There was no honeymoon phase.
There was no marital bliss.

We've spent a chunk of those years in a power struggle...

Often times on the same page, but arguing each other down like we weren't...

And no matter how hard we tried, it just didn't seem to work (but God was working).

We tried to lean on our own understanding (while God was revealing)...

We tried to figure out & explain what God was doing (while He was doing it)...

We tried to fit Him into the mold of our identity (while He was changing ours)...

And the hard part was thinking that we could convince each other to do "faith" one another's way instead of...

Trusting God to work.

This is what I've learned...👇🏾

10 things to tell yourself when you're feeling consumed by your busy routine...

♡ This is my routine and I have the ability & power to change it at any time.

♡ There's no need to stress over things that I've done a million times.

♡ This takes XX mins. I know what I'm doing, I have time and I can get it done.

♡ My routine works for me, I do not work for it and I will not allow it to consume me.

♡ I'm being mindful of my energy, my mental state and well-being when I take a break.

♡ It's ok to do a little now and do a little later.

♡ I can slow down & take my time, do one thing at a time and still feel productive.

♡ With the way I show up, I have enough evidence to believe things will get done in the time I have, at the time they're meant to.

♡ When I feel the need to push myself, I can rest knowing that I trust my body enough to listen and be attentive to its needs.

♡ Just because it's busy doesn't mean I have to carry or hold "busy" energy. I can feel at ease and relaxed in a busy routine.

Be sure to give these a gentle reflection.

Recite aloud or silently with care, apply compassion & release in grace.

Which one allows you to feel the most at ease and relaxed?

When you're trying something new...

An idea, approach or different way of being...

It's normal to feel like "it's not working" or "it didn't work".

In a stressful state, your mind has a tendency to rebel against or resist change...

Especially if it believes you don't have time.

Change takes time and any sense of urgency or impatience in it can send your nervous system into a frenzy...

And the first thing it wants to grab is control.

It's one of the reasons you try to keep up on everything...

To avoid stressing over it.

And the questions, concerns and doubts come up anytime there's a move to give up that control.

The thing here is making sure that it doesn't keep you from getting on the other side of your attempts to experience the ease.

Here's what you can do to relax your mind and calm your nervous system...

So that when those thoughts and feelings show up...

You'll be able to come into the ease regardless.

👄 Speak on the good stuff.

Vocally acknowledge what you're doing and what's going well. Putting the good stuff into words gives it the power to exist, to uplift you and bring in energy that opens up your mind for curiosity, clarity & change.⬇️

🧠 Shift your mind into positive thinking.

Remain open to the idea of adding in new things by giving yourself a reflection that sparks curiosity. Curiosity keeps you away from judgment, making it easier to gain clarity. Remember, clarity = decisiveness and being decisive is how you get things done.

Instead of "it's not working" or "it didn't work", try -> "it's not the right fit & that's ok, what is working?" or "what came from my effort?"

Once your mind is open, it opens your eyes.⬇️

👀 Be on the lookout for small/big changes.

See if you notice any changes, big or small, that you & your child may not do often or that show up after you've tried something. Things like being more organized, putting things in order, making steps, slowing down, breathing, paying more attention, being more focused or anything that was picked up from trying the new thing. Once you spot it, don't forget to speak on it!🔃

The most important part is...

Recognizing that, even in the tiniest effort, you're trying...

And the more you realize how much you show up in all that you do, the more you'll feel at ease & relaxed in who you are!❤️

I'd love to hear how this landed, please share in the comments or PM me.😊

Walking with God...

Is taking every step in faith.

Believing in what you can't see comes in how willing you are to let go and trust what you don't understand.

Faith tests you.

It challenges every part of who you are...

And it makes you stronger.

It's a choice you make...

Not based on you knowing everything...or anything...

Instead choosing to give up your way...

Everyday... for His.

For Him to show you the way.

For Him to reveal Himself to you in faith.

For Him to establish in you what He's doing through you.

And the parts of you that are tested & challenged is God saying...

Your fear is not greater than My strength...

Let go.

Your pain is not stronger than My comfort...

Let go.

Your doubt is not bigger than what I've already done...

Let go.

There's still too much of YOU in it and not enough of Me...

Let go...

And let Me be who I am.

Faith is what got you here.

It's why you're still here and it doesn't come with any guarantees.

It's an agreement between you and God...

To follow Him blindly.

To trust His word and submit in obedience.

To pray while you wait for an answer and believe in Him for the outcome.

Because there's one thing for certain...

God does what He says He's going to do.

You have enough faith.

Let go...

And let God be God.

Where is your faith? What are you letting go to believe in God for what you can't see and trust Him for what you don't understand?

As you walk with God, I pray that you remember to keep your sight on Him. Not on your circumstances, not where you are right now but where He's leading you. May you have the courage to let go and follow Him boldly in blind, unwavering faith.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

To be a relaxed mom...

You need ways to add in the ease.

Mom duty is time-consuming, especially when you have small children.

Those little hearts demand a lot of your attention. Undivided attention that you don't often feel like you have.

And it's not always easy to give the best of your time and keep up on the cooking, cleaning & caring.

But it's important to bond with your child, get the most quality out of it and when you can - sow in a valuable lesson.

As a mom with years of experience and a coach who's helped over a dozen moms...

I know that you do everything you can to take care of and be there for your family...

And with the overwhelming desire to do it all, you need more ways to make it less stressful.

This 4-step activity is an easy & fun way to ease your child into feeling independent...

While relieving you of a few minor responsibilities...

So you can ease into feeling more relaxed.

As you go through the activity...

Remember to lead in a calm, relaxed state for your child to follow.

Keep an open mind. Try it a set number of times. Commit to giving it 7 attempts or gage it by how long you know it takes for your child to absorb things.

Let the focus be on how it benefits you and your child. Don't rush it, give them time to take it in and give yourself room to slow down & settle into your patience.

After you try it, I'd love to hear about you and your child's experience. PM me!

Putting together a relaxed routine...

That works for the care of you, the people you care for & the things you take care of...

Can be done without the need to sacrifice, neglect or choose one thing over the other.

What makes that possible is...

Putting your mind in a state to come into it.

It's much harder to feel at ease if you're constantly telling yourself that...

"I can't make, I don't have or there's not enough time"...

What you want to do is take those👆🏾...

And trade them in for these👇🏾...

"I can make time, I have time" or more specifically, "I can take or I have 8 mins to relax my body".

And what that does is...

Keeps your mind open to the idea of what you want...

Reinforces the belief of what you're capable of doing in the time that it takes...

And progressively brings you into the awareness of what to do to make it a natural habit.

As you make room in your mind to come into the ease...

You'll make room in your routine for the things that allow you to feel more relaxed.

And it'll be as simple as putting a few things together...

To give yourself a quick way to start your day with ease...

Like this 8 min bed routine...

1️⃣ min of breathing to relax your nervous system, 1️⃣ min of meditation/prayer to relax your mind & 6️⃣ mins of stretching to relax your body.

2 things I help my hardworking moms do...

1 - Develop a greater sense of awareness...

2 - Lock down security in herself...

Because when it comes to your busy routine, you need...

1 - Immediate clarity to be decisive...

2 - Firm decisiveness to act on things immediately...

So you can show up in your career, personal life and motherhood feeling confident!

What brings you into the awareness and security is...

1 - Understanding how you take in and process things...

2 - Having a way to simplify it for clarity to set in...

And here are a few basics to guide you into the ease of how you process...

❌️First, you filter out what's not useful or helpful and throw it away immediately.

This is where you trust your intuition enough to know when something is not worth holding onto.

‼️What you deem valuable moves to the subconscious mind. Meaning it's stored away until you're ready to use it.

This is where you let go enough to trust that you'll have what you need when it's time.

✅️If it resonates, it's an automatic keeper. It touches a part of you deeply or something clicks instantly for it to hit your heart directly.

This is where you trust that the time to receive it is now.

⁉️For anything that disrupts or challenges you, you take time to see if it's valuable. Then it moves through the process of what you're actually going to do with it.

This is where you trust that things need time for a lesson to be had and for you to learn from it.

As you read, listen and watch - observe closely, be more attentive and bring yourself into the awareness of how you take in and process things.

Once you have YOUR process down enough to trust it, you'll feel more relaxed about making decisions and get things done with ease.

Let me know if this resonates.⬇️

One of the hardest truths about being you in all that you do is...

You care.

You give your time and effort...

You're attentive and thoughtful...

You're readily available for the people you love...

And it's the reason why so many things end up on the agenda.

The hard part is...

You couldn't be anything else even if you tried.

And the truth...

It's just the way your heart is set up.

The fulfillment that it brings to your spirit and the positive energy that you put out into the world...

Makes it considerably one of the bravest things you do!

Especially in a time where there's not enough and the world needs more of it.

The trouble with caring is allowing it to be a part of your identity without it consuming your worth.

Instead of giving it away carelessly...

Exhausting yourself to be there for everybody and doing so much that you miss out on why you're doing it...

And stumbling into feelings of hurt, disappointment or resentment...

Be careful with your care.👇🏾

Your heart has been mishandled and it's part of your healing to make sure it's in a place to give graciously.

You know the feeling of overextending yourself and you know your limit. Stop pushing beyond what you can handle.

You have your fair share of not caring and you've dealt with enough people to recognize it. Choose hearts that are receptive enough to reciprocate what you give.

You have your losses, falls and failures that have proven that you're strong and you can do hard things. Let go of the negative people, things, ideas and feelings.

It's hard because you care...

But you'll have...

The relief of knowing you can be there...

The calm to give what you can...

Feel like it's worth your time and not all of your worth...

And the ease of caring for others from that place of fulfillment.

❤️
