2 years ago, I quietly got accepted into nursing school.

After years of wanting to finish my degree but never feeling like it was truly feasible, I finally decided I was going to make it happen, no matter what.

Today felt like the perfect time to share that I’m officially on this journey. 🤍

Over the past decade, I’ve worked in CVICU, medsurg, urgent cares, and private practices, and those experiences only deepened my desire to take things to the next level and finally become an RN. This has been a dream in my heart for a long time, and I’m so grateful to finally be pursuing it.

For a while, I told myself I had “missed my chance.” I would think, “I won’t even be in my career until I’m ___ years old”

But then I realized… I’m going to become that age anyway. I might as well be that age AND be a nurse!

If you’ve ever felt like it’s too late to start over, this is your reminder that it’s not. You’re not behind, you’re just getting started.

I’ll be sharing my nursing school journey along the way, not only to document this chapter of my life, but in hopes of encouraging, educating, and inspiring others who may be dreaming of taking that leap too.

My household is slowly getting taken out one by one 🤧 so you already know… it’s time for my immune-boosting chicken orzo soup 🍲✨

This one is next level, made with chicken bone broth, fresh herbs, and a few little upgrades that make it extra nourishing and actually supportive when your body needs it most.

Here’s how I made it:

• Cook raw chicken in chicken bone broth in the Instant Pot (meat setting) until tender + falling apart
• While that cooks, sauté celery, carrots, and onion in avocado oil until softened
• Add freshly grated ginger, minced lemongrass, garlic, chopped thyme + rosemary → let everything get super fragrant

• Shred the chicken and add it back into the bone broth
• Add in the sautéed veggie + herb mixture
• Season with salt, pepper + turmeric

Pro tip:
Cook your orzo separately, drain, and add it in at the end → keeps it from getting mushy and soaking up all your broth 👏🏼

• Stir in cooked orzo
• Serve and finish with fresh lemon juice, chives + parsley 🌿
• Add a side of homemade sourdough because obviously 🤍

Cozy, flavorful, and exactly what your body craves when you feel something coming on.

Why this soup hits when you’re sick:

• Bone broth → collagen, amino acids + minerals for gut health & recovery
• Ginger + turmeric → powerful anti-inflammatory combo (hello congestion relief)
• Garlic + onion → natural immune support
• Lemongrass + herbs → antimicrobial + soothing for digestion
• Lemon → vitamin C + helps break up mucus
• Veggies → antioxidants + essential nutrients

It’s one of those meals that just feels like it’s doing something good for you 🥹

Save this for the next time you feel a cold creeping in… because we all know it’s coming eventually lol

As a melanoma survivor, I’m passionate about raising awareness for skin cancer prevention and early detection through the Provenzale Foundation.

I’m also deeply committed to advocating for mental health, self-confidence, and empowering women to step into their worth; something I’ve poured my heart into through my book 21 Days to Self Love.

Leading up to Miss Texas, I’m excited to use this platform to make an impact that goes far beyond the stage.

Happy National Dance Day! ✨

I started really dancing a year ago and I could never have predicted how much that decision would change my life and just how much dance would end up meaning to me. And more than anything, I never could have imagined the amazing community & sisterhood I would gain from dance.

I spent years feeling too intimidated to start because it felt too late in life, like I was too old and missed my chance. I promise you if you ever feel that way about anything, do it anyway. The biggest regrets you’ll have in life are the things you didn’t try & held yourself back from. 🫶🏼
