The Bulldogs stepped onto the field this past weekend against the #4 NAIA-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University Varsity Team and a talented Unity Softball squad, competing pitch-for-pitch against some of the toughest competition we've faced this fall. The scoreboard doesn't always tell the story. The girls played hard and battled all day!

Opponents hit just .200 Addy continued to prove she can compete against high-level hitters, attacking the zone and giving the Bulldogs a chance every inning.

Sidney Ratliff MC Marquette Uncommitted 2027 C/3B .286 AVG .857 OPS 2 Doubles
Sids Extra-base power showed up against top-level competition, proving Sidney can drive the ball against quality pitching.

Noemi Reiser Andrean Uncommitted 2027 2B/SS .400 OBP 67% Quality At-Bat Rate 2 Stolen Bases
Noemi Consistently battled at the plate, worked deep counts, and created pressure on the bases. Played solid Defense including a smooth backhand double play

Hannah Simmons Uncommitted 2027 LHP/OF 4.0 IP 0.00 ERA, Opponents hit .222
Hannah Stepped into the circle against strong lineups and competed every pitch.

Keep an eye on this 2027 and 2028 group. The future is bright, and these athletes continue to embrace every challenge in front of them.

St. Mary's Round Robin Weekend Recap

The team put together a strong showing at the St. Mary's Round Robin this weekend, finishing the tournament with a collective .371 batting average, 23 hits, 14 runs scored, and 10 RBIs across three games. The offense consistently pressured opposing defenses, stealing 13 bases in 14 attempts (92.9%) while posting a solid .418 on-base percentage.

Leading the offensive attack was Emilia Ducret (Penn 2027 OF), who had an outstanding weekend at the plate, going 5-for-7 (.714) with 3 runs scored, 1 RBI, and two stolen bases. Sidney Ratliff (MC Marquete 2027 C/3B) was equally impressive, batting .800 (4-for-5) while scoring 2 runs, driving in 2 RBIs, and swiping 3 bases.

Kate Marie "KM" Kozel( South Bend St. Joseph 2028 3B/OF) was a sparkplug throughout the day, collecting 4 hits in 6 at-bats (.667), scoring 2 runs, driving in 2 RBIs, and stealing 3 bases. Noemi Reiser (Andrean 2027 2B/SS) continued to provide quality at-bats, batting .600 (3-for-5) with an RBI and a stolen base.

Additional offensive contributions came from Lexi Evans, who drove in 2 runs while scoring twice, and Addison Barajas, whose clutch triple highlighted a productive weekend that included 3 runs scored and an RBI.

In the circle, Addy Abdeljaber (Penn 2027 RHP/1B) turned in a dominant performance. Over 7.2 innings, she earned a two victories while striking out 12 hitters, posting a 2.74 ERA and limiting opponents to a .214 batting average. Her ability to miss bats and work out of pressure situations helped anchor the pitching staff throughout the tournament.

Defensively, the team was solid throughout the weekend, recording 37 total chances with just one error. Several players posted perfect fielding percentages, helping support the pitching staff and limit opponents' opportunities.

Huge congratulations to Faith Kromray — Wheeler, Uncommitted 2027 SS/CF on her visit today to Hawkeye Community College!
It sounds like the campus was beautiful, the visit was successful, and she left with a clear picture of what Hawkeye has to offer. Their law enforcement program is outstanding, and it lines up perfectly with what Faith is looking to pursue.
Great job, Faith — big things ahead!

Huge shoutout to Addison Barajas (Highland, Uncommitted 2027 C/SS) and Noemi Reiser (Andrean, Uncommitted 2027 2B/SS) for absolutely killing it yesterday at South Suburban College! The energy, the work ethic, and the way they competed stood out all day.
A massive thank you to Coach Ali Martinez for having them on campus, letting them jump in with the Bulldogs, and giving them a chance to show what they can do.
The future is bright for both of them.

Congratulations to Lexi Surowiec — LaPorte, Uncommitted 2027 SS/UTL for absolutely killing it and representing the Bulldogs at the DePauw Prospect Camp!
DePauw is a beautiful campus and an incredible spot for a high‑level education — and Lex made the most of every minute out there.

The Bulldogs opened the 26/27 season with a doubleheader at Kankakee CC, battling through 14 innings for a 10–10 tie and a close walk‑off loss.
Top Performers:
Lizzie Corbett (South Newton 2027) — .600 on the day, strong debut.
Emilia Ducret (Penn 2027) — 3‑for‑3 in Game 1, excellent outfield play.
Both pitchers logged 7 innings apiece, competing hard in tough conditions.
A big thank you to Coach Alex Lagesse for inviting us to compete and giving our team a great early‑season opportunity.
