It was a full moon two months ago and my dog, whom happen to be of a hunting breed; beginnings her dance on some pray. Lola was running and jumping and swirling,barking, grunting and hunting!
I assumed she was on a raccoon or opossum. The full moon shinned on the pasture to unveil a figure that resembled a pig. It ran and Lola ran. But then it stopped.
At that moment, Gus entered our lives!
He was a male about four months old and definitely a wild hog or boar not sure which term is correct!
He stole our hearts and being responsible for his heath, I had him neutered. He doubled his weight in two weeks and is becoming more loving as the days go on. Now, I didn’t tell you what his days were like as he wondered through my neighborhood to always return “home”. (I believe he is reincarnated as a pig but he was a horse.)
He has this incredible bond with my horse, Ditto and they actually communicate to each other. They play for hours. It’s so amazing. Something I have never seen and I spend hours video taping their antics. My neighbors have fallin in love too. Due to the COVID 19 families ride their bikes or drive by on golf carts and stop to see Gus. Today, Gus has many children friends that he sees and runs to,when they come by. He visits the barn across the street to see his horse friends. My barn is on a dead end street but cars come in like they are competing in the Indy 500. I had signs made. Gus has touched the lives of my neighbors and they had the signs erected to slow the traffic for Gus!
