❗⚾ This Saturday at 12pm we will be holding our 8th grade ceremony for this years DSMS Baseball veterans! This group, along with the rest, have worked very hard to represent Dawson Springs proudly on and off the field for the past 3 years and would love to have you all there! ⚾❗

JV will play at 10am vs Ballard Memorial, then Varsity will take the field following the ceremony at noon! Come help us celebrate these guys for all of their hard work and dedication during their middle school baseball careers! Go Panthers! 🐾

After two tough losses, the boys look to get back in the win column tonight as they travel to Clarksville to face Kenwood Middle School! JV will play first starting at 5:30, with the Varsity game to follow. Go Panthers! 🐾

⚾ Another tough loss tonight for the Varsity at Lyon County as they fall 6-4. For the 2nd game in a row, we had the winning run at the plate, but just couldn't capitalize. We're still proud of the way the boys battled! JV also fell 6-1. ⚾

The boys are back on the road tomorrow night as we head to Kenwood Middle School in Clarksville. JV will play the first game at 5:30, with Varsity to follow. Go Panthers! 🐾

Our next Panther spotlights are on 8th grader Mason Mitchell of the Varsity and 5th grder Dalton Gray, also of the Varsity! 💛🐾💜

⚾ Mason is in his 3rd season with MS baseball since transferring to Dawson last fall! He plays OF, and has also recently worked his way onto the pitching staff. While he's still fairly new to the game, he is very coachable and is another great example for our young guys to follow, as they see him earn more and more playing time throughout each season!

Mason says..
• His favorite MLB player is Mason Miller.
• His favorite teacher is Mr. G.
• His favorite thing about baseball is getting to play with friends.

⚾ Dalton is in his first season as a Panther and he has been a Varsity starter since he joined the team! He plays CF, SS, 2b, C and pitches, but has the ability to play any position on the field at a high level! With his constant effort, great attitude, and his natural gift for baseball, he has all the tools to go as far as he wants to in this game!

Dalton says..
• His favorite MLB player is Shohei Ohtani.
• His favorite teacher is Coach Reynolds.
• His favorite thing about baseball is everything about it.

⚾ Too little, too late for our guys tonight as we fall to Union 11-9 at Riverside. JV also lost 8-0. ⚾

Today's Panther spotlights are with two of the toughest guys on our team! Our catchers, 6th grader Shane Reynolds and 7th grader Timmy Jarboe! 💜🐾💛

⚾ Shane is in his 3rd season with MS baseball and has been a Varsity starter the entire time! He plays C, 1b, 3b and pitches. While earning a starting spot on the Varsity team a year ago as a 5th grader, Shane quickly became one of our most dangerous hitters and is a defensive wall behind the plate! He loves the game, as he also plays travel ball in between our MS seasons!

Shane says..
• His favorite MLB player is Yadier Molina.
• His favorite teachers are Mr. Worton and Mrs. Walker.
• His favorite thing about baseball is being a utility player.

⚾ Timmy has been with the MS team since it's start as a 5th grader! He is the starting catcher on our JV team and as of this season, has earned a starting Varsity spot in the OF. He is the example that our coaches use when we're teaching the young guys that their hard work will eventually pay off! Timmy has improved more than anyone on our team in the last two years!

Timmy says..
• His favorite MLB player is Ozzie Smith.
• His favorite teacher is Mrs. Larimore.
• His favorite thing about baseball is playing with his teammates and winning.

Two very important pieces from our middle grades that will continue to help build our program and lead our team in the future! Go Panthers! 🐾
