The 1923 Society named after the year The Daytona-Cookman Collegiate Institute (now BCU) fielded the inaugural football team in the school’s history, now 100 plus years later and after experiencing numerous feats including two Black national championships , 14 conference championships, and sending numerous players to the NFL and other professional leagues, it is time for us to excel to the next level. The 1923 Society will do everything in its part to help catapult Wildcat Football to that next level and continuing to be a perennial powerhouse. At The 1923 Society, we believe that student athletes are more than just students and athletes – they're also entrepreneurs, influencers, and community leaders. Our mission is to help them build their personal brand, unlock their earning potential, and create meaningful partnerships with local and national businesses, and engage with fans, and fans with them, in ways never done before.
