On the darkest of days I close my eyes, take a deep breath and slowly release it. As I slowly excel I remember that it was The Lord Himself that breathed that living breath into my lungs causing me to be alive. This lets me know that I am never completely alone because I have The God of the universe living deep inside of me. I feel Him with every breath that I breathe. With every inhalation and exhalation, I feel Jesus, as He continues to give me life here on this earth.

Without the knowledge that He is with me each and every moment of my life, I would be completely undone. Nothing that I did would have meaning or purpose. Without Him, life would be totally worthless.

It is because He lives inside of me, that I have hope for the future. Not the kind of hope that the world has, but hope of an eternal future spent in paradise with Him. A future where there will be no sadness, sickness, darkness or goodbyes. It is then and then alone, that I will truly know what the breath of God has done for me. God breathed His breath into me so that I could have life, while Jesus breathed His last breath here on earth, so that I could have eternal life.

The next time that you are facing a difficult situation, take a moment to take a deep breath. As you do, remember that the very air that you breathe, the air that keeps you alive, is that same breath that God breathed into your lungs causing you to become a living soul. Without it, you never would have even existed.

Dear Lord, I thank you so much for giving me the very breath of life. I also thank you because Jesus took that final breath upon the cross, and that first breath of life, when He rose on the third day, thus allowing me to be free from sin and eternal separation from You.

Help me to never take breathing for granted. Instead, Lord I pray that I would use each breath that I breathe to glorify Your Name.

For those who only know about the breath of life, I pray that You would help them to come to experience the second, and third breath of God, The Breath of Forgiveness, and The Breath Of Eternal Life in You. For it is this alone that will allow whosoever will to spend eternity with You. Thank You, Lord! To God Be The Glory! Amen!

It is a beautiful morning. God had blessed me so very much. It is my prayer that no matter your circumstances, you can always call on Him.

If you have absolutely nothing to be thankful for, look at your surroundings, listen to the sounds around you. What do you see? What do you hear?

That alone gives you something to rejoice about. You can see. You can hear. Now that's a blessing.

I have a dear friend Lisa who cannot hear. She is deaf, yet she is one of the happiest people that I have ever known.

Yesterday I watched a video of Helen Keller. She was a woman who at the age of nineteen months old became very ill. As a result of the illness she lost her eyesight, hearing and the ability to speak.

Thanks to her incredible teacher, Anne Sullivan, she learned to talk. She lived an incredible life and was very happy. You might wonder why.

She took what she had left and realized that she was still blessed. She learned to communicate with others, had great manners and loved humanity.

Miss Keller did not sit around complaining about what she did not have, she took what she learned and in so doing gave hope to millions of people. Because she overcame the rough circumstances of her life, she inspired many people, including myself, to see beyond what they lacked, and see what she had, a life filled with true peace and joy.

Do you have peace and joy in your life? If not, perhaps you are looking in the wrong direction. Change you view and you can change you life.

Look up to the sky. Look further towards the heavens. Find Jesus and you too can have peace and joy in your life.

Where could I got but to The Lord! He alone is my help. He alone is my desire. He alone is my deliverance. He alone is my salvation. He alone is my healer. He alone is my Redeemer.

I will lift up my voice unto Him. I will lift up my eyes unto Him. I will lift up my hands unto Him. I will life up my praise unto Him.

I will say, “this is the day that The Lord has made. This is my God who created the heaven and the earth. This is who my hope comes from. This is my God and I will praise His Name forevermore. This is The One that the prophets spoke of long ago. This is The One, my God and my Redeemer. Praise His holy name. Praise Him all of creation. For Jesus Christ is alive and well, and He is coming soon. Praise The Name of The Lord!”

Lord, thank You for all of this and more. Blessed be your Name Jesus, today and for evermore!

Late last night, as I sat down to write this post, I was beyond tired. As a result this was my prayer. “Sleep alludes me. Prayer sustains me. My Savior comforts me, and peace floweth like a river all throughout my soul. Angels stand gaurd as the stars light the midnight sky and dreams of a better tomorrow chase my fears away. Peace has come and sleep will follow. Thank you my precious Savior , Jesus Christ, I love you.”

Many times as I have tried to drift off to sleep, the last words on my mind, or spoken across my lips are usually to Jesus.

As I awake each morning, my first thoughts are about The Lord, and how He helped me not only sleep, but gave me rest for my soul. It is then that I realize that it is impossible for me to live my life without Jesus being the center of my very existence.

It is so good to know that when I lie down to sleep that should I fail to awaken, I will forever be with The One who died for me. That is the kind of peace that I can sleep with! To God be the glory!

Do you ever have days when nothing seems to go right? I know I do. There are times that it seems as if I have wasted an entire day. There are also days that seem to start long before I get out of bed, and just seem to keep going, and going ,and going! Have you ever wondered why we have these kinds of days?

Life is full of questions. Some of these questions leave me shaking my head, while others leave me laughing. Then there are the ones that I don’t even begin to understand. The ones that get my attention the most are the ones that I often ask, “Why” about. Those are the ones that always lead me to this passage of scripture.

The Lord did not create me to know everything. In fact in Genesis 3:6, Eve wanting to know everything, is what got us all here now. She couldn’t wait until the evening when God would come walking through the Garden of Eden; she took the serpent at his word and not only ate the forbidden fruit, but gave it to Adam as well. If she would have just waited a few hours, she could have told God what the serpent was trying to do. Instead, she took matters into her own hands when she believed the serpents lies.

We are all guilty of falling for Satan’s lies. If we would just remember that Jesus has a plan for our lives, and not rush full speed ahead, believing the lies of the enemy, we would see that everything in our life is there for a reason. It may not make sense and the question may make you shake your head, but if you will hold on, you will see that all of it has been for “The Glory of The Lord!”

Heavenly Father, I pray that as we go about lives today; that we would remember to wait on You, Lord. Help us to seek divine guidance and wisdom, as we make each decision we may face. May we know that You alone are the One who can give us a sense of clear direction. Guide us closer to You, as we take each step in our day. Light our paths and prepare a means for us to overcome temptation. Remind us that nothing is going to happen to us, that You do not already know about. Teach us to acknowledge, trust, and obey who You are in every situation. Allow us to bask in Your presence, as You continually watch over us, and lead us home. Thank You, Lord for calling us, for such a time as this.

Waiting is often one of the hardest things to do. We want what we want when we want it and we want it now!

This has proven to be true since the Garden of Eden. Eve didn't want to say no to the serpent. She also did not want to wait until the cool of the evening when God would come to seek His permission. Why? She saw what she wanted and she had to have it right then and there. The results she received were clearly not what she expected nor were the consequences of her actions.

I like Eve and all of humanity have also lived with this same attitude. We are born with it. Have you ever seen or heard a baby just wait where they were placed until the parent felt ready to care for it? Have you seen days, weeks or even years pass and the baby just patiently wait until someone decided to care for it? I did not think so!

Abraham was like that too. He had the promise that God would give him a son and his seed would be as the sands in the sea. Did he wait, no. Just like Eve, he got impatient and listened to his wife and had a son with Hagar, but this not the son that God had promised him.

He eventually had the son that God promised to give him with his wife, but look at what the unexpected results and the consequences of getting ahead of God were.

I have often gotten ahead of God and His will for my life. Every time that I have, I too have gotten unexpected results along with consequences for my actions.

It is my prayer that you and I will remember the consequences of what happens when we get ahead of God. Instead of striking out on our own, let's wait on Him and the plans He has for our future.

I don't want to be weak and weary. Instead I want to keep my eye upon The Heavens as I soar towards my Lord and Savior as if on the wings of an eagle!

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for speaking to our hearts today.

I wish that I could be happy enough to leap for joy all of the time. Sadly, life happens and we all face moments of loss, sadness, grief, unhappiness and despair. How we handle these moments often define how long they last.

I have learned the hard way to take every season of my life to The Lord. No matter how bad things may become, I have learned that if I lean onto my Master’s shoulders, these periods become moments to learn. The thing that has stayed with me is that if I have The Lord with me, no matter how long the burden may last; it is so much easier when I reach for His Hand and follow His lead.

The pain is still real, but nothing comforts or soothes me like knowing that I am not alone, because The God of The Universe is carrying me each step of the way. When I think like that, I certainly want to leap for joy!

Lord, thank You because no matter where I am or how I am feeling, You are protecting me as I travel this earthly journey. Thank You Jesus for never forsaking me. Thank You for turning the darkest situations into joy as I turn to You Lord. I trust You with not just the big things in my life, but all things both great and small. For You alone are able to turn my weeping into “Joy!” You dry my tears and paint a beautiful sky to remind me that rain or sunshine I have nothing to fear because I am forever Yours. Thank You Lord Jesus! I will praise Your Holy Name today and for all of eternity. Amen!
