The conclusion of Saturday’s definitely didn’t reflect the pace and handling of the No. 54 Egress Mobility Solutions Aston Martin Vantage GT4 on track today.

After a meeting of the minds (and we have some brilliant ones 🤓) our team collectively made some setup changes- and those changes put a podium contenting car on the grid for GT4 America’s race 2.

As the clouds gathered and rain steadily increased, the field quickly switched to rain tires during the pre-race fan walk and took the green under FCY conditions.

Billy Johnson gained five positions on his Pro-Am class competitors in *very* wet conditions that brought out a long FCY period. In the first half of the race several cars, including ours, were caught up in incidents affected by the weather and poor visibility, and our race ended in the pits just before the driver change.

Unfortunately, due to that damage, Christian Bach couldn’t continue to showcase his progression in his SRO America debut.

Road America never disappoints - even with its challenges, this track always produces great racing in a fantastic environment.

Christian Bach’s debut to SRO America also introduced EGRESS Mobility Platforms to the racing community. We welcomed Billy Johnson back to the series, and took the green for the first GT4 America race for our Aston Martin Vantage GT4.

Starting 12th in class, Bach and Johnson gained 16 positions in the field to bring home a top 10 finish, with Johnson crossing the line P9 in class.

Johnson will start P12 on the Pro-Am grid tomorrow, and Bach will take his first checkered flag both in Aston Martin machinery and in an SRO series.

So many milestones this weekend, plus 30+ car field of tough competition, mix in the best fans, add beautiful weather- and we have the National Park of Speed at its finest!
