It felt so great to do my first sets of cleans since shoulder surgery. Jerks and sn**ches still in the future, but it shouldn't be too far out. Kept it very light and reasonable today. I can start dreaming about competing again. Yippee!!! π€ΈββοΈπ

Groups still have availability for this summer's Total Athlete Training. TAT starts June 8th and goes through August 7th, 2026. TAT is for athletes looking to improve strength, power, speed, quickness and agility. Athletes learn to move heavy weight quickly, jump higher and farther, run faster, and get stronger. I'm at about 4 weeks since rotator cuff tear surgery on my left shoulder. I've been getting bored with lunges and single leg squats, so I finally hooked up my belt squat, and I really like it. Limited by what I can load with one arm, so it's a lot of lighter plates. I also have been doing Nordic Curls on the Freak Athlete as well as Single Leg RDLs for the hamstrings. I pulled out the oldie but goodie ball hamstring curls (keep 'em slow) to mix it up even more. Do what you can with what you got. π
Without question, Mylah was our overall most improved middle school lifter during this winter's Total Athlete Training. Congratulations to Mylah for her big bench and squat PRs!
