The Budget Outdoorsman My mission is to provide practical outdoor tips and gear reviews for the everyday explorer. So come along, and let’s explore together! One thing I’ve noticed?

I believe outdoor adventures should be accessible to everyone, regardless of budget. I’m Josh Wilson, and having grown up in the country, I've learned to love the outdoors - fishing, camping, and exploring. The outdoor industry is expensive. In this channel, I want to prove that the Budget Outdoorsman can still have great success, even if you don't have the most expensive gear. Hopefully, through some simple videos, I can make the outdoors accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Join me as I explore the best value in outdoor gear and share tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way. Come along with me to start your next adventure on a budget! Which EDC keychain flashlight is worth carrying?

I compared 5 popular compact EDC lights - the Fenix E03R V2.0, TUNENGE S11-T, OLIGHT i1R 2 Pro, Nitecore TIKI LE, and LUMINTOP EDC01 - looking at brightness, durability, waterproofing, features, runtime, size, and value.

They range from about $10 to $30, and I share which one I’d personally choose if I could only carry one.

Tunenge sent me this $10 keychain flashlight with a surprising amount packed into such a tiny package… but is it actually any good?

I took a closer look at the Tunenge S11-T and found some things I really like and a couple I don't love. Watch the full short to see the pros and cons!

Is the Piscifun Chaos XS budget trash or budget treasure?

In this review, I put the Chaos XS to the test and take a look at its casting performance, build quality, retrieve, and overall value. I paired it with the Ugly Stik Carbon Catfish Casting Rod to see how this budget-friendly setup will perform on the water.
