🎓💰 SIX FIGURE SALARY AT 21 YEARS OLD WITH ZERO STUDENT DEBT!

WHO SAYS EVERY STUDENT NEEDS A FOUR YEAR COLLEGE DEGREE TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

🎙️ Sports Talk 225 Exclusive Interview with Cecil Harris

During our recent sit down, Denham Springs School Board Member Cecil Harris shared a personal example of why career and technical education deserves more attention.

Harris spoke about his granddaughter’s fiancé, who, at just 21 years old, is already earning a six figure salary without student loan debt!

🏭 His path to success?

✅ Pursued training in process operations

✅ Completed an internship with BASF

✅ Gained valuable experience in the industrial workforce

✅ Transitioned directly into a career after completing his program

✅ Entered the workforce without the burden of student loans

Harris used this example to emphasize the importance of expanding technical education and creating additional career pathways for students in Livingston Parish.

💡 College is a great option, but it isn’t the ONLY option!

With Louisiana’s industrial workforce offering career opportunities, programs focused on process technology, skilled trades, and specialized training can provide students with another pathway to success.

The goal should be preparing students for their futures, whether that means a university, a technical program, military service, or entering the workforce.

🔥 LET’S HEAR FROM YOU, 225!

Do you believe high schools should place more emphasis on skilled trades and technical career opportunities?

👇 Drop your thoughts in the comments!

🏫📚 DISCIPLINE, ACCOUNTABILITY & EDUCATION: WHAT SETS LIVINGSTON PARISH APART?

🎙️ Sports Talk 225 Exclusive Interview with Cecil Harris

Why are so many families choosing to call Livingston Parish home?

During our exclusive interview, Denham Springs School Board Member Cecil Harris discussed what he believes makes the Livingston Parish school system attractive to families.

His message centered on three important principles:

📚 Academic Excellence: Maintaining high educational standards and preparing students for success.

🔐 School Safety: Providing a safe, structured learning environment where students can thrive.

⚖️ Discipline & Accountability: Teaching students that actions have consequences while continuing to provide educational opportunities.

Harris also discussed Pine Ridge, explaining how alternative education can allow students facing serious disciplinary consequences to continue learning while being held accountable for their actions.

💬 The message? Accountability and education should go hand in hand!

Rather than giving up on students who make mistakes, the goal is to provide structure, reinforce expectations, and help them make better decisions moving forward.

🔥 NOW WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU, 225!

❓ Do you believe discipline and accountability are among the biggest reasons families choose Livingston Parish schools?

❓ Are schools today doing enough to teach students that their choices have consequences?

👇 Let’s have a respectful conversation in the comments!
