Black Fox Wrestling Academy

We are going to do the NCAA Bracket Challenge again this year.

The cost is $25 per bracket; you can submit as many brackets as you want. The winner receives 30% of the pot, 2nd place receives 20% of the pot, and 3rd place receives 10% of the pot. The remaining 40% will be donated to Black Fox.

Entry Fees for brackets will be accepted by Venmo to Nate Becker (Venmo is -Becker-10 - last 4 of phone # is 0094). All brackets and payments must be submitted by 9:59am MT on Thursday, March 19th. Please submit payment as soon as you submit your bracket.

Late brackets or payments will not be accepted. Unpaid brackets will not be entered into the contest.

Summary

Pick wrestlers (one in each weight) competing in the NCAA tournament without repeating seeds. Win and lose points based on criteria, difficulty of picks and upsets/knockouts.

Scoring

Selected wrestler places 1st 10 points
Selected wrestler places 2nd 8 points
Selected wrestler places 3rd 7 points
Selected wrestler places 4th 6 points
Selected wrestler places 5th 5 points
Selected wrestler places 6th 4 points
Selected wrestler places 7th 3 points
Selected wrestler places 8th 2 points

Bonus Points

3 bonus points: pick an 11-13th seed in any weight, and they place
4 bonus points: pick a 14-16th seed in any weight, and they place
5 bonus points: pick any wrestler seeded lower than 16th, and they place
Bonus Wrestler

Pick one wrestler seeded 18th-33rd in any weight class, and if they place, you get an additional 5 points (but not additional points)

Negative Points

-5 points: any pick (except Bonus Wrestler) goes 0-2
-1 point: any pick (except Bonus Wrestler) loses in the first round of the championship bracket
-1 point: any pick (except Bonus Wrestler) loses in the second round of the consolation bracket
-2 points: any pick seeded 1st-4th that does not place

Come join us for the 2026 National Team Development Camp being held on Saturday, March 28th at Ponderosa HS in Parker. This camp is open to all Colorado 14U, 16U, and USA Junior Athletes.

This developmental camp is designed to bring Colorado wrestlers together to prepare for the 2026 Greco/Freestyle season. COUSAW boys/men's directors will use this camp as an opportunity to meet, evaluate, and watch wrestlers interested in competing at the National level for the State of Colorado, including those aiming for the National Dual Teams. Girls are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend, but the girls will not be evaluated for dual participation at this camp.

Cooper Mathews had a great weekend and will be representing team USA in Panama City in April!!

We have an amazing opportunity to learn from current Olympic Gold Medalist, Magomed Ramazanov. Ramazanov is the reigning gold medalist at 86kg.

These are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for our athletes, and we strongly encourage as many of you as possible to attend.

Cost is $50, cash at the door. Camp is Saturday, March 14th from 4-6pm.

We are happy to announce that registration is now open for the Greco/Freestyle season, which will begin the week of March 9th. Each room/location will have a cap, so please sign up early to ensure you secure your wrestler's spot. We are offering six (6) different program options to accommodate the needs and development of all our wrestlers

A few important notes as you register: Please be sure to register only for the program that aligns with your athlete’s age and eligibility. These age groups and room placements have been intentionally structured to support long-term development and ensure the best training environment for everyone. While we understand that certain schedules or locations may be more convenient, we ask that families respect the placement guidelines.

The Elite Program (14U, Cadet, and USAW Junior) is invitation-only. Registration for this room requires direct approval from Coach Luke. The Elite room has a firm capacity limit, and interest will double or triple the available spots this season.

Competition schedules for each room will be finalized and posted by mid-March.

Lastly, regarding Advanced and Elite rooms: these programs are structured as full-commitment environments. We are not able to offer partial participation or prorated fees for athletes who cannot attend the full schedule. If the Advanced schedule or commitment level is not the right fit, we have other room options available that may better meet your needs.
