El Grito 5K Run

Thank you for your participation in the return of El Grito 5k! The 2025 race on the Auraria Campus in the La Alma Lincoln Park neighborhood was a huge success, thanks to all of you! Your support resulted in a $5,000 scholarship to Ana Fresquez Castro, a student and athlete of MSU Denver. So for these reasons we will be hosting the 31st El Grito 5k on Sunday, September 13, 2026, 9am start. Please save the date and watch for updates on El Grito 5k Facebook and Instagram sites. Race start is promptly at 9am, Sunday, Sept 14th at 890 Auraria Parkway, in front of Dazbog. Pickup of t-shirts and race bibs starts at 8am. Look for parking on 5th Street between Walnut and Curtis St. or bordering the MSU Athletic Complex on Rio Court or Shoshone St. off of 13th Avenue (under the Colfax Viaduct). There is also a few metered space on Curtis St. between 7th & 5th Streets. Sundays are free on metered parking. Most lots and garages increase to $30 on weekends. Please check signs before you park. Auraria enforces parking 365 days a year, 24/7. See you on raceday! Que viva

Mind you....they are all fast. That's why they are called ROADRUNNERS! Entry includes Tarahumara t-shirt, race bib, burrito, beverage or beer with ID 21+ Post race activity includes a kids fun run and an el grito (the celebratory cry) contest!
