Nothing like the nap that follows swim class. 😴💙

All that kicking, splashing, and new sensory input adds up to one very content, very sleepy baby by the time you get home. If your little swimmer's post-lesson nap runs a little longer than usual, that's a good sign. It means they worked hard and had fun doing it.

Ready to give your baby that same tired-happy feeling? Book a ParentTot class this week.

You sign your child up for swim lessons because learning to swim matters for their safety. 🌊

Then you begin noticing other moments, too.

They try a skill that made them nervous. They ask their instructor for help. They climb out of the pool eager to tell you what they practiced.

At SafeSplash, developing foundational survival and water safety skills is at the heart of what we do. The confidence and connection children experience along the way matter, too.

That is why we are sharing Generation Real: The Playbook, a new free resource from Youth Enrichment Brands created in consultation with child-development experts Erica Komisar, LCSW, and Jennifer B. Wallace.

Across nine modules, the Playbook offers practical, judgment-free guidance for supporting children through challenges, encouraging their growth, navigating screens and making more room for meaningful connection.

Explore the Playbook at generationrealproject.com.

Toddler curiosity moves fast, and standing water anywhere in the house (not just the pool) deserves the same level of caution.

A Water Watcher is one adult, fully present, with eyes on the water the entire time kids are in it.

American Red Cross says it takes as little as 20 to 60 seconds for a non-swimmer to become an active drowning victim. That's barely enough time to glance at a phone or grab a towel. Being a Water Watcher means no distractions. No exceptions.

Don’t wait for a close call. Make water safety part of your family’s routine and book a swim lesson today. 🌊

Before a baby’s first swim lesson, comfort with water often starts somewhere much smaller: bath time. 🛁

Those calm, unhurried moments can help water begin to feel familiar. When you introduce your baby to the pool, take the same approach. Hold your baby while you sit together on the steps. Let them feel the water at their toes before going any farther. End while they’re still enjoying it.

For babies, it all starts with small, positive moments with a parent close by. Reach out to learn more about ParentTot classes for babies as early as 4 months. 🌊

Toddler Transition is the SafeSplash class for developmentally ready children ages 2 to 3, where swimmers participate with an instructor without a parent in the water, at participating locations.

It's a meaningful step. Toddlers naturally want to do more on their own, and this class gives them room to build comfort, confidence, and foundational water safety skills with guidance from a trained instructor.

Younger swimmers usually begin in ParentTot (ages 4 to 36 months), where a parent or caregiver stays in the water throughout class. Program availability varies by location.

Your child's swimsuit color can be the reason why you save them in an emergency. 🎨

Bright, bold colors like neon orange or lime green stand out against blue pool water, ocean waves, and light sand, making a swimmer easier to spot quickly if something goes wrong. Neutrals and pastels blend right in, making it difficult to see a child in the water.

Stock up before your next lesson and ask our front desk what colors show up best in their pool. 🌊

Our ParentTot classes welcome babies starting as early as 4 months old, all the way up to 36 months based on ability. A parent gets in the water every class, working side by side with an instructor guiding up to six parent and child pairs at once, building the foundational skills every swimmer needs later on.

As babies grow into toddlers, ParentTot 2 builds on those foundations with early stroke skills and stronger water confidence, still with a parent right there in the pool. Starting early is about giving your child time in the water before independence is even the goal, so comfort and instinct build naturally, one class at a time.

Wondering if your little one is ready? Reach out this week to get started. 🌊

SafeSplash ParentTot classes start as early as 4 months at participating locations, with a parent or caregiver in the water.

The American Academy of Pediatrics notes that swim lessons can be introduced after a child turns 1 year old, depending on a child's development, readiness, comfort level, and exposure to water.

Swim lessons are one layer of drowning prevention. They work alongside close, constant, attentive adult supervision, barriers around water, and properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets in, on, or near open water — never as a replacement for them.

Talk with your local SafeSplash team about your child's age, current skills, comfort level, and goals.
