Congratulations to Aleesa Showalter from GSSC for signing her letter of intent to attend Graceland University in Southern Iowa to join their women's soccer program. Another successful recruitment for GSSC.

This past father's day weekend, GSSC played in the Avalanche Cup in Park City, Utah. The girls wowed their dads while playing in elevations hovering around 7,000 feet. This was a college showcase tournament that had dozens of college coaches in attendance and the team president was hitting them all up with our player's stats and team information every day.

Another tournament for the Golden State Soccer Club is in the history books. The girls played in the Real Colorado Cup Tournament in Denver in the college showcase division. Over 200 college coaches were in attendance! Some of the girls graduated from high school on Wednesday night and then met up at 2:00 am the next morning to fly out to Denver for this 4-day tournament. The girls played extremely hard and took a break by hiking in the mountains.
Great job GSSC!

Finger popped back into place...I think she needs to get her nails re-done.

Blood, Sweat, & NO FEAR in 96 degree weather! GSSC had NO intention of giving up even though they were down 2-1 in the first half. Talia dislocated her finger and split her nail in half when she got tangled up with an opposing player. It was surreal watching Coach Ozzie hold Talia down while he popped her bloody finger back in place. She ended up coming back in and scoring a goal too.
Did I mention that it was hot and the girls were super sweaty?
Oh, let's not forget how Brooklyn scored an awesome goal when she went up against the goalie and slid some ten feet to score. It turned out to be an amazing win. All of the girls played SO HARD.
Did I mention that five girls weren't able to attend the game?
What a team!
Great job girls!
The Gothia Cup fundraiser was a success! The girls went a long way towards reaching their fundraising goal for the Gothia Cup which will be held in Sweden later this summer.
Everybody who attended had a great time because of all of the hard work that was put in by all. The GSSC girls were busy all night and were dead tired long before the poker players stopped playing for the night. They were serving drinks, food, and cleaning up at every moment.
A big shout out goes out to the Valencia family who graciously hosted the event and made more hot dogs than I had ever seen before. Also, a big thanks to all who helped make this event a success!
Great job Golden State Soccer Club!
