We’re teaming up with Protect Our Rivers and BLM on one of the biggest gatherings and celebrations on the Colorado River — National Public Lands Day — and we’d love for you to join us! 
Camping is free all weekend, and Saturday is the main event. And in honor of Colorado’s 150th Anniversary, Protect Our Rivers has a few extra-special things planned for the weekend. 

Here’s what to expect:
FRIDAY — Camp + Movie Night
Roll in, set up camp, and meet us at the gazebo for a mini movie night featuring a lineup of river-centered short films and our premiere of our film New Lines Panama. The perfect way to kick off the weekend!

SATURDAY — The Big Event!
Kick off the day by giving back with a river cleanup on the Upper Colorado, then stick around to celebrate! We’ll have live music from A Brother’s Fountain, delicious food, craft beer, prize giveaways, and plenty more.
Registration is open and we’d love to see you there.

Safety Sunday: When helping rescue people you need to take care of yourself first. Don’t rush through a rapid which might cause you to flip. Like the old saying “slow is smooth and smooth is fast” taking your time ensures you will make it through a rapid to catch up and not add to the rescue. Once you are there help how you can, flip their boat over, grab their paddle, hold their boat steady or even pull them in.
