Want to know one of the fastest ways to decrease your stress? Avoid the news. Notice how you feel when you watch or read it. Do you feel inspired, empowered, happy? When is the last time you forgot about guilt and "shoulds," and just enjoyed yourself? Yesterday I walked to the ice cream shop on a sunny day with my boyfriend and had a vegan ice cream cone (cookie-dough flavor!)! I let go of guilt and just allowed myself to enjoy. It was awesome. How about you? When is the last time you just splurged, relaxed or just let go? Please share.
Every day presents you with something to be happy about--sometimes small, sometimes large--even when the day is stressful, chaotic, frustrating, etc. Today, I'm happy to live in Colorado, where the sun is shining brightly. I'm happy to get some time with my mom tonight and this weekend. How about you? What are you happy about today?
After 3 days of vertigo, I finally got to the gym today. But my body got tired after only 30 min. So although it wasn't easy for me, I stopped. I felt guilty, but I chose to honor my body and myself. How about you? What do you do to honor yourself--even when it may be a hard choice? If you’ve done nothing lately, be sure to take time for yourself—meditate for 10 minutes, get a massage, etc. Honor yourself today!
Having an Attitude of Gratitude is important for a good quality of life. What are you grateful for today? I'm grateful for a warm house on this very cold day. I'm grateful for hair die without chemicals. I'm grateful for a wonderful boyfriend and loving cats. I'm grateful for the two referrals I've received this week. How about you? What are you grateful for?
