Elevate Your Executive-Assistant Partnership

09/06/2026

In honor of Labor Day, Birdie will be doing absolutely no labor.

Anyone have any fun plans this weekend??

09/06/2026

🚨 THREE EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT ROLES ARE OPEN!

Here’s who I’m currently recruiting for:

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO
📍 WAUKESHA, WI
💰 $90,000–$100,000 + benefits
🏢 100% on-site

❇️ This EA will serve as the strategic right hand to a fast-moving, high-D CEO and entrepreneur, owning everything from his complex calendar and high-volume inbox to projects, travel, meetings, speaking engagements, and follow-through across multiple businesses. He needs someone confident, highly organized, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable anticipating what’s next—not waiting to be told.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO
📍 DES MOINES/CLIVE, IA
💰 $90,000–$99,000 + bonus & profit sharing
🏢 On-site with some flexibility

❇️ This is a unique opportunity to become the first EA to the President of a growing, family-owned wellness company—and help build the partnership and executive support systems from the ground up. He’s a thoughtful, relationship-driven leader who needs a confident partner to protect his time, create structure, manage up, and help keep him focused on the work only the CEO can do.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
📍 AUSTIN, TX
💰 $86,000–$96,000 + quarterly bonuses
🏡 80% remote + local support

❇️ This EA will become the operational right hand to the CEO of a fast-growing wealth strategies firm, beginning with mastery of a complex calendar and growing into inbox ownership, communication management, executive follow-through, and broader support. He’s direct, ambitious, fast-moving, and outcome-driven—and needs someone equally sharp who can combine speed and high agency with precision, emotional steadiness, and the confidence to challenge him when needed.

These aren’t three versions of the same EA job.

Each executive has a different personality, pace, set of needs, and vision for the partnership—which means the right EA for one may be completely wrong for another.

And that’s exactly why fit matters so much.

Think one of these sounds like you (or someone you know)?

I’m recruiting an Executive Assistant to the Founder/CEO of Socha Capital in Austin.

Yes, yes, yes, there’s calendar and inbox management. But the bigger job is keeping up with an extremely fast-moving executive, knowing what needs his attention, redirecting what doesn’t, closing loops quickly, and creating order without adding unnecessary process.

You need excellent judgment, serious attention to detail, speed, and the confidence to push back when appropriate.

The role is mostly remote, but you need to be Austin-based because there are local responsibilities and in-person logistics.

Full-time, 80% remote | $86K-$96K

If you love speed, ownership, and figuring things out, read the full description.

Want to be someone’s first Executive Assistant?

I’m recruiting an Executive Assistant to the President of HotSpring Spas in Des Moines/Clive, Iowa.

This isn’t a role where you inherit someone else’s systems and simply keep them running. You’re going to help build them.

They need someone who can create structure, protect his time, manage up, establish better systems, and eventually become a true executive partner.

He also needs someone who can be direct with him, laugh with him, and tell him when he’s getting in his own way.

On-site | $90K–$99K

If you like building the role instead of just stepping into one, take a look at the full job description: https://www.moniquehelstrom.com/executive-assistant-jobs/executive-assistant-to-the-ceo-hotspring-spas

This search is back open.

Earlier this year, I recruited for the Executive Assistant to the CEO role at Drake & Associates in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The position has reopened, and I’m beginning a new search immediately.

As I reopen the search, I’m looking for a very specific fit.

This is a 100% on-site role supporting a fast-moving entrepreneur. It requires someone who is organized, responsive, direct, resilient, and exceptionally good at follow-through.

The right person will be proactive, comfortable taking ownership, and able to keep a lot of moving pieces organized while staying relentlessly focused on the fundamentals.

This role is full-time, on-site, with a salary range of $90K-$100K.

This is a strong opportunity for the right Executive Assistant. If that sounds like you, read the full job description before applying.

The conversations you avoid are usually the ones that matter most.

What if you had a judgment-free place to practice before they happened?

That's one of my favorite uses for AI.

Not because it tells you what to say.

Because it helps you discover the best way to say it.

That's how confidence is built.

Most assistants don't struggle with what needs to be said...
Most often, they know exactly what they WANT to say. 😅

They just struggle with how to say it in a way that's not rude...
Or pushy...
Or too passive.

And believe it or not, sometimes a robot can help with that.

Before you send the email.
Before you walk into the meeting.
Before emotions take over.

Usa AI to practice, rewrite, role-play, and get feedback.

Then walk into the real conversation with confidence.

AI isn't removing your human-ness.
It's helping you sharpen it.

Companies: post the salary.

You’ll spend less time interviewing candidates who were never aligned, create a better candidate experience, and build trust before the first conversation even happens.

Everyone wins.

Invest in communication before you end up footing the bill.

Think about the last time poor communication caused...
❌ A project delay
❌ An awkward conversation
❌ Rework
❌ A frustrated executive
❌ A disappointed client
❌ An unnecessary conflict
❌ Being passed up for a promotion or raise
❌ A lost opportunity to work on a high-impact project

Here's the good news.

Communication is one of the few professional skills that improves almost every other area of your career.

When you communicate better...

✅ You build trust faster.
✅ You solve problems sooner.
✅ You receive better feedback.
✅ You become easier to work with.
✅ People trust you with bigger opportunities.

Communication isn't a "soft skill," it's an ESSENTIAL one.

And it's one of the highest-return investments you'll ever make

Have you ever had an experience that taught you the hard way how important communication is?
