Parents—be honest…
How many of you can pivot quickly when things don’t go as planned?

Most athletes aren’t struggling because they lack talent.

💬 Real Talk, Parents… How Did Your Athlete’s Weekend Actually Go?
Wins? Growth moments?
Or… frustration, limited opportunities, confidence dips?
No judgment here—just a real conversation.
Because here’s the truth most people don’t talk about enough:
👉 Practices and skill lessons alone aren’t enough anymore.
Not because your athlete isn’t talented.

She finally got her moment.
Late in the game. ⏱️
Score tight.
Coach called her number.
You could see it…
this was the opportunity she had been waiting for. 👀
First play… mistake.
And in that moment, everything changed.
Not the game.
Her.
Her shoulders dropped.
She stopped talking.
You could literally watch her confidence leave her body. 💔
Next play?
She hesitated.
And just like that…
the opportunity was gone.
It wasn’t because she wasn’t talented.
It was because no one had ever taught her
what to do after the mistake.
That’s the part no one talks about.

It’s because no one has taught them how to handle pressure in the moment.
I’ve coached athletes who spiraled after one mistake — a foul, a turnover, a bad race — and it cost them confidence, playing time, and trust with their coach.
