Manzaneros Outslugs La Tribu in 16-8 Defeat

Before we get into the action, we apologize to our fans for the live feed cutting short mid-game. A special thanks to our sponsor, J&J Painting, for their steadfast support. While this loss moves our record to 3-3, make no mistake: we are still not out of this. There is a long road ahead and plenty of baseball left to play.
Manzaneros took control early, exploding for 11 runs across the second and third innings. Despite the deficit, La Tribu refused to fold, mounting a gritty six-run rally in the fifth inning highlighted by Ernesto Ovalle’s two-run single. Ovalle finished the day with four RBIs and two hits, matching Silas Armetta for the team lead in knocks.
Discipline remained a bright spot for La Tribu, as the squad drew six walks—two apiece from Alberto Gonzalez and Edgar Herrera. While Manzaneros’ 18-hit attack and errorless defense proved too much to overcome this time, the fight shown in the late innings proves this team has the heart to go the distance.

In baseball, as in business, you’re either moving forward or you’re standing still at home plate never advancing to first.
We’ve seen firsthand what it looks like to "move up in the world" by watching our sponsors at J&J Painting. They didn’t get to the top by just showing up! They got there through precision, hard work, and a commitment to making every project better than the last. They’ve stepped up their game, and now it’s time for La Tribu to do the same.
We know we’re a good team. We’ve got the talent, the heart, and the drive. But "good" isn’t the goal—greatness is. Just like J&J Painting elevates every property they touch, we need to elevate our play every time we take the field.

Well, the Cocodrilos had a bit more bite than we expected this past Sunday. The final was 16-4, but we’re choosing to believe the scoreboard was just malfunctioning in their favor.
We’re shaking this one off and hitting the dirt this week to sharpen up. We’ll see you all this Sunday for a fresh start and a much better result!
An infamous quote:
-"Baseball is the only endeavor where a man can succeed three out of ten times and be considered a good performer. Forget Sunday’s innings; the only pitch that matters is the next one."
Who said it?
