Astros Wrestling community,
As many of you know, Mrs Coach (Michelle) has a Traumatic Brain Injury that has caused permanent issues. She is in need of a working service dog.
Even though I am no longer coaching, I've spent more time every winter with wrestlers than with her or my sons. So, in a way, it feels like we're asking family.
Please read the attached post and, if you can only share it, I will still be extremely thankful!

As of last evening, I have officially retired from coaching. It still feels weird to think of.
From my first Pinkerton team (2011/12) to my last, my program vision was to not just produce winners on the mat, but in life. To teach the value of hard work, discipline and perseverance in all aspects of their life and to focus on academic success as well as athletic success. I believe that I accomplished that.
I feel that I am leaving the program in a good place, with a good athletes, a good staff of coaches and a solid foundation for the future.
To all of my wrestlers, managers, current and past coaches, it has been my honor to be your coach. I hope that I made a positive impact on your lives. I am your biggest fan!
Stay in touch and be well.
Coach Rhoads
